OK, I finally got my 6 SS system installed today, thanks justfortun for your help. The vice grips didn't work for me, I bought a set of bolt extractor sockets that did work great on the rounded bolts with a torch. This job took longer than expected but was worth it in the end. I drove the truck without the Helmholtz resonator and then added it and it does make a difference in the cab of my crewmax. I very happy with the sound and quality of the system!

Damn, this 8” ss sounds awesome!!! Didn’t install the resonator yet, but will soon. The drone is pretty annoying or I’m just getting old.

My gasket was missing too, I’m guessing it was in the empty envelope that was ripped and stuck to the outside of the box. Not sure why they’d be put outside the pkg, with all the numbnuts that don’t give two sh#*s about our packages.

I reached out to Keith and will see what he says.

Finally got around to installing my 10 incher. I smashed a finger a few weeks ago and it was nice that it felt like functioning normally!

Have not installed the resonator yet. But it sounds amazing! Only driven in the city, so there has been zero drone. I will have to test it on the highway to see if I need the resonator.

Compared to my 22 inch magnaflow, this thing is mean on start up and rumbles like a real V8 when driving around town

Drove all weekend with the 10" (without the resonator) and it sounded awesome, however it had a bit of drone around 1500rps, so Sunday I put on the resonator. It sounds great still, but I think I miss that rawness of it without the resonator. Definitely calmed the sound down.

I'd like to recommend a gate valve on the resonator that can be opened and closed. Anyone engineers out there with an elegant solution?

On one of Keith’s videos, there is no stock resonator. Mine has a little bubble resonator behind the stock muffler. Do only certain years have this? Maybe that is helping drone for some?

I have the same thing. Its only for 07-09 tundras. Keith said it takes out certain frequencies but dosent take away from drone. I have the 6in with no resonator and it did drone but when i put on the resonator it made it perfect definitely recommend his resonator.

    Ooooh my god.
This 8" system has destroyed my mpg.
It is SO HARD to drive easy now. It sounds so good that I just HAVE TO lay on the gas. Can't keep my foot off it. Hopefully I'll get used to it and learn to drive normally again ... Well see.
Overall, I'm very happy with the set up. Maybe a little too happy.

My budget system showed up Tuesday, I installed it this morning. Sounds amazing! I didn't install the resonator yet, but don't tow much so we'll see how the drone is...

I purchased mine a month or so before this group buy so it's been on the truck for a while...I have not learned how to drive normal. I smash the petal every time I go under an overpass or when someone is next to me at a stoplight with the windows down... like a small child. :burnrubber:

I couldn’t wait till Saturday. I installed it today after work. It took maybe 50 minutes and that was taking my time. Very easy install and everything lined up perfectly. It sounds amazing. Went for a short ride after. I’ll see how it is tmrw to and from work where I can open it up. Then I’ll decide if I will install the resonator. If so I’ll do that Saturday. Has a nice deep rumble at start up. My MPGs may take a hit.

Got my 6” ss yesterday. Install was quick and easy. Took 20 min. Sounds great. Hard to stay off the gas. Mpg definitely taking a hit.

Lol, the rumble definitely doesn’t get old! I cut my cats off and my 8” sounds like a caged animal right now!

Obviously not what I’m looking for long term, but damn it is fun for a couple weeks!
