    Me too.

You have to get further into the pedal (compared to the smaller sized mufflers) for the sound to come through, but it's nice. The longer case cleans up the pop/rasp you get from the smaller mufflers.

Same here. My 10" just got delivered and goes on tomorrow.

If you tow a trailer, you start to worry about too much. I went back and forth so many times. Stock is already plenty loud towing a trailer with full tanks in the mountains. The group buy pushed me over and the DD crew seems like good people. I'm done towing this season, so I don't have to worry about it for now.

I wil save the stock exhaust in case tundras.com led me astray. I don't think so, especially with five months of trailer hibernation.

Still need to research. Want slightly better performance, throatier sound but no drone for family road trips.

Well if youre not in a hurry I'll be putting my budget system on soon. You can take a listen to that and decide what you do or dont like about it. I had the budget on my old Pro and I didnt really have any drone issues without the resonators. But its all subjective.

I would say other wise. I've had both 8 inch and the budget system. I only had the budget on with and with out resonator for about a month. To me with resonator still way to much drone. With out resonator was pretty bad. The 8 inch on the other hand is great. No complaints on highway speeds doing 75 to 80 mph I get no drone and I also have the pipe cut right after the axle with BA muffler tip. But if I get on it I can hear it and still after 2 yrs still sounds great. But If you plan on towing would recommend talking to Keith or going 10 or 12 inch.

Thats just it, I had the budget and am saying the drone was near non existent. I've had exhausts on Subarus, Tacomas, Hondas, Fords, and more. The DD budget on the Tundra had less drone that just about all exhausts Ive ran in the past. Hell, the Magnaflow exhaust, which is muffled, on my coworkers CM Tundra had more drone than the straight piped DD. So, for me, there's pretty much no drone. Hence, it's subjective.

@pnw.tundra is local to me, so I figured I'd offer so that he can decide for himself, subjectively. Not sure why anyone would pass up a freebie :D

Yeah I've had the Duel Gibson system that was more money and the Magnaflow duels on the Tundra when first purchased and hated the drone on both. So after owning the truck 8yrs I finally found and heard of Dirtydeeds and couldn't be happier.

Keith knows what he's doing for sure. Getting a bit technical here, but it is a fine art really. Frequency phase length and exhaust pulse really are a huge factor, seems like no matter what you do for some vehicles drone is just there. I guess for me having had exhausts on my old Taco or even the s2000 I had, the fact that the pulses seem to time just right to make a constant noise really makes it worse. I had straight pipes on a WRX and the pulse was offset since the header runner lengths were different. It was just loud but again, had very little drone in my opinion. The Tundra has been the best overall, but it is a V8, so there are even more ways that the pulsing and phase can cancel each other out and kill some of that drone. I think the exhausts that seem to be the worse simply missed engineering a solution that uses such factors.

All in, it really seems like a risk or waste to go with another system on our trucks.

We have actually changed the design slightly for guys whom cut the tailpipe.

The new design cuts out the drone as if you’ve never cut the Tail pipe.
The change is in the length of the helmholtz resonator. When you cut the tailpipe we make the helmholtz 6” longer.

best part, your helmholtz resonator is under warranty. Send me back the old one, and I’ll send you the new design for free.

Actually just thinking about this, considering the timing of Black Friday discounts.

I picked up an additional tail pipe recently to make an easy back up option for the resonator.

Keith, any chance I could get a resonator? I did pass on it when I ordered during the "covid" group buy, lol.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your truck. Keith is out of the office for the day. I have your email flagged for him to read and respond to; however, phone calls are really the best way (fastest and most informative) to reach him. You can call him anytime at 760-877-4234.

It would be best for you to speak with Keith directly on this matter.

    Thank you,

    Just got my 10” installed.
    Damn, it sounds good.

I can already see an increase in my fuel mileage...

    ... is what I told my wife.

Easy install. Hardest part was getting the TRD pipes off.
FedEx was kind enough to bend in one of my hangers, luckily, I was able to massage it back in place with a small sledge hammer.

First off I want to thank @Zero One Actual for donating a practically, brand new tailpipe.
He went above and beyond sourcing a large box, packing it up and taking it by two different shippers to get it to me.

I removed mine initially for the TRD system and got rid of it.

Second I want to thank @dirtydeeds for their great customer service and quality product.
