My trd replacement system has 24in mufflers! But I have long tubes so I wanted it quiet for towing but it’s still pretty loud when it a hill

 

I would interested in the 10 inch vs 12 inch comparison as well. I would love something in the range of the TRD exhaust for sound. Hopefully Keith will put up some videos.

 

I almost got the 12" because I was worried about incab noise. He told me between those 2, incab would be the same but outside, the 12" would be more quiet. Glad I went with 10", been rocking it for probably a year now and it's awesome everytime I drive it with no issues.

 

I think the resonator is the important for towing. I love the sound of the 8, but it’s easier to sell it to my wife that I got the quieter one . The 10 sill sounds amazing.

 

Just towed a trailer with the 10" plus resonator on a four hr trip. Was never irritating or to loud. To me the difference between 10" and factory exhaust is you can here the exhaust note over engine noise with it. Factory system is all engine noise on incline grades with a trailer.
Love the sound for daily driving also. Nice refined note, not raspy or annoying. I built a 67 IH Scout with a 300HP SBC, headers and true dual exhaust with turbo mufflers, ended up going to a single because I couldn't stand the raspy sound.
Sounds good now but as much as I love the sound of a small block with a cam it doesn't compare to our 5.7's with a 10" DD exhaust. Keith knows what he's doing.

 

TrooperDC did you notice a difference in how the truck responds when towing or daily driving?

 

Seems more responsive. Yesterday I was pulling out on a busy road going left and had to get on it a little, truck responded quickly, less throttle lag. Not T/H responsive but better than factory.

 

That’s what I wanted to hear. I think it will breathe better. I know it won’t be a huge improvement. But every little bit helps.

Does this include dual exhaust systems?

 

I’m not sure if it includes the duels? If you call or email them today they can answer your question. They have great service. Does anyone know how many have sold?

Ive been meaning to get my order in but have been too buys this week. Last I heard from them a couple days ago the number was at 35.

 

Yesterday the count was 42.

I think I’m in... this is a smoking deal. I was leaning on the TRD dual exhaust set but thinking I’ll go with the single 8” or 10”. I’ll give Keith a call to help me decide... Any thoughts on 8” vs 10”? I don’t tow.

 

I have the 8 stainless and love it. Enjoy it every drive. I’d still suggest calling Keith he wail ask some questions to find out what your looking for in exhaust.
