Is it normal for condensation to drip from where the tail pipe meets the muffler? I made sure the new gasket went on the muffler side and tightend down on the stock clamp. I dont remember the stock setup doing before I swapped out with the BA 8". Thanks.

    Sorry to hijack.

Thrush mufflers made millions marketing the sound of power. You normally lost power, but the sound was fun for some. I would rather hear the mechanical symphony the engine makes, than an exhaust that drowns it and everything else out.

Looking to pull the trigger soon, what's the norm for shipping costs with this exhaust and did it take the 30 days advertised on the site?

Just out of curiosity, why don't they come pre-cut for the helmholtz resonator. Generally wouldn't all of the systems be cut in the same general area? Just asking as it's an easier option for someone who might not have what's needed to cut or intimated in cutting into a brand new exhaust system or even explaining to the muffler shop what to do. LOL.

I think shipping is normally $100, and it took almost 30 days when I ordered mine (counting build time and shipping).

    Pull the trigger!

The cut is made on the stock tail pipe.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I bought Keith's 10" Catback a few years ago. I know he offers one that's 12" too, that'll be at least as quiet as stock at idle but will certainly still make you grin, when you get on it:oldglory:

I just installed my 8" and for now don't have the exit pipe on so it just dumps right before the axle. SOUNDS FUCKING MEAN.

first time the fiance got in with me she said "oh this isn't that bad" so i looked at her, smiled, and dropped it into 2nd. got slapped and called an asshole haha.

i may throw the rear pipe on eventually, it'll no doubt sound a bit more tame but for now i'll be obnoxious.

Nothing wrong with your thinking. Gotta neighbor across the street with a stupid loud muffer on his stupid Jeep. Disrespectful to say the least. Oh but he is cool though!

Nope...agree that loud exhaust for the sake of being loud is a no go...I hate the tuner coffee can sound as well.

That said, I did add a BAM 10" with the Supercharger install...I too don't want the noise but needed the extra air flow...best of both worlds.

I didn't want to make a new thread to ask this. But can you install the resonator with the tail pipe connected and everything? Instead of taking it off. I installed the muffler some weeks back but now want to put on the resonator. Just got to buy a hole saw bit too.

Hole for the resonator is not cut out before hand due to not everyone purchasing one with the order and also not everyone installs one

I think it could be done. Might need a right angle drill to get to the right spot. It's a tight fit in that area but where theres a will there's a way.

And you have to cut the hole into a stock part of exhaust from your truck, not a part that Keith ever has in his shop.

    See fine print
I drilled my hole and installed the resonator with the tail pipe installed. I dropped the spare for more room. I used a regular drill with a newish hole saw. Took a while since the exhaust is stainless but doable.
