Moabs a good trip, heading down there Friday. Lots of fun trails and even some decent single track. Taylor Park is on my bucket list, heard it's a pretty good time. Maybe later this summer if I'm lucky.

Don't have any pictures but I have a 2017 KTM 300xc. Yesterday I had 3 KTM 300XC's in the back of my 6.5 foot bed (2014, 2017 and 2018). Needless to say there wasn't much room for anything else.

I know, I grew up in VA, very little public land to legally ride on. Its frustrating when the George Washington National Forest is as large as it is and there's less than 100 miles of trails to ride. (So far as I know)

I got the M5B for the super soft loam at CC, seems to be the tire of choice out there. That tire you got looks great too!

I've head good things about these IRC's, will probably be my next tire. I'm rocking the shinko 505 and I'm not as impressed as I was hopping I'd be. It's not a bad tire on rock and hard pack but super squirrelly in mud and sand, but knew that when I bought them.

My current VE33S has 100 miles of Moab under it's belt including Slickrock. It also has another 55 miles of Utah desert/rock single track. Holding up Very well.

The 505 is a pretty good tire but past the initial break in, it wears pretty quick. It sucks in the mud and sand. It's a "cheap" tire. I probably won't run it again. The Tusk Recon is better.

The VE-33S will be the next tire I put on my bike.

My trip to Moab last weekend sucked. My forks were all messed up. Didn't realize until after I got home that my air fork bleed out and equalized in the outer chamber causing them to be extremely firm. It beat the snot out of me. So frustrated... After 5 month of no riding I was really looking forward to tearing up some dirt. Didn't do a fraction of the trails I was hoping to ride.

They sell out so fast I bought another one days after the install. They are available again. The VE33S is an Amazing tire all round. I will probably never run a different tire as long as they are still manufactured.

That sucks about your trip and forks. Moab is not a place to have suspension issues especially up front. What are you riding? 2018+ 350F?

Thanks, it's a good bike but does technical and slow speed stuff poorly. It's a great go fast bike though.

Gotcha! Those are the reasons I got my 17 TE250. I geared up in the rear and installed a Slavens head for more down low torque. I bet if you softened up your suspension and changed the rear sprocket, it would be a lot better in the technical stuff.

I actually have thought about gearing up the rear, my reservation is that my first gear is not very smooth, it doesn't take much throttle to jerk you forward. Do you think gearing up will help with that or make it worse? I know it's a trade, sacrifices speed for torque which I'm ok. Although my second gear would probably be a lot more useful.

I went up two teeth in the rear. I'm in first gear .02% of the time now. Mostly second and third; and I start off in second. I use first for gnarly climbs if I stall on a hill.
