I meant to call diode yesterday but got side tracked. Its very ridiculous. Almost $500 for this dumb ass flaw.

I had same problem. To correct it I seen that there was a tapped hole toward the back of the light bar on the side. I installed the light bar aimed where I wanted it. Made marks. Then removed it. I drilled a hole and ran a new bolt through into the hole that was tapped. I completely solved my aim issue.

what I realized next was the sag for the bracket. So I drilled a small hole through the side of the bumper where we had to remove the plastic insert for the light bar. Reached up in there with my fat finger and slid a bolt through while also passing through that last little bit of space where the bracket extend past the locking screw for aiming the light bar. Locked it all down and presto! No more sag. The bumper cover I drilled essentially acts as a fixed point not allowing the light bar or bracket to sag over time. All pretty easy not too invasive and holds up well. If I put the insert back it I’m almost certain it will be covered up.

I posted some half ass pictures when I was working through all this but I should probably post more thorough ones.

So i added a washer in addition to the mounting bolt yesterday… So far no movement but i have to check tonight on the aim.

    ***Update***
The washers helped, aim is on point!

I’m assuming you have the 42” light bar. Would you have any suggestions for tbe 30” light bar regarding the sagging bracket? I’m having that issue now

What size is this bolt??? I may have to do this. Because this aim shit is getting on my last nerve. Everytime i turn the bar on, its some how moved and is pointing towards the top of the trees.

I added washers to the bolts and that helped temporarily. Smh. Diode needs to re-do the damn brackets. With a 2nd hole to bolt into the heat sink.

I just stumbled across this! I forwarded it all to my contacts at DD. It seems like some are really fighting with it, and others aren't which I find odd. Mine has a little movement if you wrestle with it, but it holds aim and doesn't deflect when driving which is good.

Hopefully I can circle back with some good resolution for everyone.

It’s mainly the bracket for me! I went light off-roading this past weekend and I find the bar was resting on my bumper which isn’t where I positioned it. I checked the bolts from the bracket to the light bar and they were fine but the bracket itself was sagging. I have the 30” stealth!

And this is happening on the 42 inch light bar? If that’s the case I will be waiting to buy it. That is the bar I was planning on adding to my tundra Pro.

I have the 42inch. And i added a washer to the bolt and got no movement, but before with bolt only, bar still moved regardless of how tight i tightened it.

So once i added the washer, got out in the dark, it was aimed perfectly… a week or so passed and its aiming up towards the trees again. Im close to saying fuck it and just sell the damn bar.

Thankfully, my 42" light bar appears to be angled just fine. I feel like I need to pull mine out more because with it being flat and bumper more concaved, it looks funny at certain angles.

Here are some pictures because who doesnt like to see pictures of Tundras?

Also wanted to add that I bought a dual switch on Amazon for my ditch lights and light bar and mounted it at the lower dash. Pic for reference.

What about adding the washers to fill that gap and then add a lock washer on there to. That should hold it?

Sounds good...unfortunately, my fix was change brands to Cali-Raised. The DD42 output was amazing but hated the design...and the brackets were worse than crap. Cali's design is superior.

No sagging or screw problems with the 30" DD Stealth I installed. I do get some vibration in the light output but plan to solve that by adding some center support that rests on the bumper.

Bought the 42" light bar early last year and it's already crapped out. Green rust coming out of the relay so I'm hoping a new harness will fix it. Have been getting the run around from the seller Headlight Revolution for the past five weeks. Still under warranty so don't see what their problem is.

Hello all has anyone tried the Cali Raised LED bar in the hood bulge? What type of mounting did you try? Thanks

Noticed my 42" light bar failed while I was testing it prior to a Baja trip a few months ago. I'd had it for maybe 15 months. Initially though it was the harness or relay but a new one did not fix the problem. When I finally pulled the light bar I noted several LEDs had snapped off the circuit board. I blame the crappy stealth mount that allowed marked vibration especially on washboard roads. Finally installed a replacement today and made sure to place a couple pieces of foam underneath the light bar to dampen any vibration. Hopefully that will be enough.

Which fuse did you share with the add-a-fuse and did this allow the switch to illuminate when all other dash lights come on?
