Finally got to test my SS3 Pros at night. They are amazing. Went from stock halogen fogs to Morimoto XBs to DD SS3 Pros. Morimotos will be in the market place soon after the test last night.

@memario1214 after reading 19 pages on these SS3's...just pulled the trigger on your store for these. Running 17 halogens headlights and fogs.....just want something to see the deer on the side of the roads. Thanks to all for great comparisons and pic's

Ordered a set of DD SS3 Pro's for ditch lights from your site during the Independence Day Sale. Going to mount them on my new Rago Low Pro mounts as soon as everything gets delivered.

I ordered the Combo pattern for sure, thought that would be best for my application. Correct?

    @kuokoa

Got a dremel with the small cut off wheel or small hacksaw blade? You can cut a slot for a flat blade screwdriver to get it off (if the bolt head is not recessed).

Yeah given where you’re mounting it for sure! I also don’t know the remainder of your lighting situation so you can’t go wrong there! Best part is that you can always change the pattern as well down the road. :D

Anyone else's bezels seem to be really loose from Toyota? Fogs mount in good, just the plastics seem very shaky.

I installed some cheapies, but now are going to install some DD's. I used some black caulk around the first set and they are rock solid. Get them close then caulk the plastic trim in and then adjust to perfection. Should be good. Caulk is not permanent, so no probs changing down the road.

Did you do the zip-tie mod on installation? If you don't know what that is that's okay too.

Please excuse the quality of this photo as it is a screen grab from a video I was working on so it degrades pretty bad. Either way you should be able to make sense of it. So this is of the driver's side. You have the Phillips screw up the on the left corner. The other side has tabs that slide into "slots" on that side. Feed a zip-tie through both the tab of the Diode Dynamics bracket as well as the slot that is part of the OEM equipment. Then tighten the zip tie down tight effectively locking the two pieces together. You'll hear some folks say just top or bottom, but I did a tie on both and don't regret it. Of course you will need to re-aim your lights if you already have as this will upset wherever they're currently aimed for sure. Hopefully this helps you.

I’ll give it a shot. This looks like it’ll secure the fog to the bezel more and not the bezel to the truck which is where I’m thinking the shake is. But I’ll give this a try.

Ah... Well in that case I don't have any sweet, hot tricks for you unfortunately as I haven't see that issue first hand. If you snap some pics of what you're seeing though I may be able to give an idea or two.

edit: just received yesterday. I guess someone did hand-carry it from the midwest lol.

my bad. I haven't checked back in for a couple weeks. I was able to contact DD and after confirming my original DD order number, they sent out a free replacement as well as a prepaid shipping label for the stripped screw light. awesome customer service on their end.

the only shitty thing is that they sent it at the end of June/beginning of July and I still haven't received it. I think UPS lost it since my package has been "On the Way" since 6/30. maybe someone is hand-carrying it from the midwest to Hawaiʻi? :bananadead:

No sales. Probably won’t have anything until Black Friday. May have something for Labor Day. But I wouldn’t bank on it.

Just wanted to add some info in case it helps you, but first and foremost, how incredibly helpful @memario1214 was in getting me to the right place on my build. Ended up getting a pair of Amber SAE Pros for weather and a pair of Amber Maxes with the clear lens swap for deer that switch on with the brights (SwitchPro that I also got from HotShot). I think this is as “illumination bulletproof” as I can get things. Illumination at night is superb, but I can’t use the auto-on/auto-off hi beam feature anymore… too much light for oncoming traffic coming off curves. Highly recommend the SS3 product for deer!

No sales or codes running right now (DD is pretty strict about that stuff). I see you shot me a pm though. Even on the worst day I can save a guy sales tax. Depending on where you live that could be pretty big.
If I remember right didn't we go with the Amber pros with a clear lens swap to capture the 4000k output color, right? Maybe not, I lose track of individual builds sometimes!

Either way, I absolutely appreciate the support and the kind words!

I can’t keep track of it anymore… all I remember is how freaked I was installing them on that geometry nightmare FF Matrix bumper and not screwing it up!
Gotta find a bumper sticker that says, “Lighting provided by Colton and Ryland Enterprises”. One more “E” and the acronym would spell “CREE”… how awesome would that be? ;)

Just ordered some SS3 Pros in yellow from @memario1214.
Also really considering some SS3 Max Combo lights to replace my current ditch lights, because they gotta match right?

Hey guys. Looking for guidance. I’ve got DD SS3 Pro fogs ready for install. 2021 Tundra TRD Pro. Removing the factory Rigid fogs which have a square casing vs the rounded style of the SS3s.

My understanding is that for a better (perfect?) fitment, I can trade out the Toyota Fog Light Trim (aka Lamp Bezel) for a round-holed version, Sparks Parts: https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-fog-light-trim-right-front-521270c070

Can anyone confirm that for me? Thanks!!!’

That is correct. That said, you can probably find what you’re looking for WAY cheaper if you just post up a WTB ad here on the site. Someone who pulled their stock bumper probably has some lying around!
