We still use the Lenox Poppies on Blue set we got for wedding presents (piece by piece) 25 1/2 years ago. I have bought replacement bowls over the years but our plates have lasted pretty well. Please don't let my wife see this thread or she'll want a new set too.

I love those beautiful dark wood grain cabinets! My wife hates dark wood in the kitchen - and that is HER room. Ours are much lighter, and will likely be similar in the new house if we ever get it built.

I bought two of the tabletop sets (8 place settings) and a handful of other bowls, etc. a few years back. Simple yet high quality plates and silverware. I would buy them again despite the somewhat high price tag.

You probably won’t be interested in our approach but we drink from jelly jar glasses and our plates are an eclectic assortment of miscellany from thrift stores; various designs and shapes, some are pretty rare. Our silverware was similar until one son and dil thought we needed something nicer, lol.
It works. We like it. There’s a different kind of appeal. We don’t care about what anyone else thinks!

Ouch. That would get expensive for 12 place settings.

We don't necessarily care either, but having a matching set for stacking is pretty nice.

We know someone that has nothing but chicken plates from second hand stores. Pretty cool set she has.

The wife mentioned it and I gave her "the look"...

Yeah, wasn't a cheap date. Throwing it out there for options. You could also spend much less and still get some great stuff.

My brother worked in the restaurant industry and turned me onto their cookware, which is how I originally stumbled upon the company. Good stuff that is build to last a lifetime or withstand a commercial kitchen, but on the pricey side no doubt.

We drink from mason jars, small and large. Cheaper and more durable than any standard drinking glass i've come across.

We actually upgraded the camping press; for more volume, insulation at durability. We got a 48oz double walled Stanley, the 32oz didn’t cut it for 3 adults and two kids(yes my 3yo gets coffee) but now the 48oz has some for leftovers

Pretty much exactly that same press!!!! I’ve made many batches for her with it! I don’t drink it much anymore, I just make it to be nice. I do 45grams for her and the boys in the morning instead of the usual 54 when I drink it

Hahaha 3 and 6 now….. they’ve been drinking since they were younger, but it’s literally less than an Oz of coffee and mostly sugar free creamer. I feel slightly less terrible hahaha
