Diesel heater tank install under truck bed.

Curious If anyone as done a diesel heater in their truck bed with the heater bolted to the bed and the tank mounted under the bed. That or if anyone has installed an entire unit with tank under the truck with the air vent plumbed to the floor of the bed. Would need to install a custom diesel fill port on the quarter panel. Not sure if there is room for a tank and or the whole unit underneath . 2005 AC. Prepping for a hiatus camper.

I have one in my promaster van under the passenger seat but it's plumbed into my actual diesel gas tank. Selling the van and prepping the truck.

 

I would probably do a rear bumper with swing out spare tire rack. Hinged license plate with fill tube behind it.

 

The fuel pump design for a diesel heater like it when the fuel tank is located slightly above the heater unit.
