Does anyone know if a Diamondback off of a 5’7 dodge bed will fit on a crewmax?

I checked directly with Diamondback when looking at a similar opportunity in the Vancouver area. Diamondback says that it won't work.

Darn it. It was half price and I pretty sure I could have got it cheaper

Yeah, it sucks. Here’s the info from Diamondback. I dug it up just now:

    Hi Rob -
Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately these covers are built very model specific and will not interchange properly between trucks. If you have any other questions please let us know.
    Thank you!

    Hi there,
I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Limited with a 5’6” box with factory rail. I have located a nice used diamondback HD cover from a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5’6” box. I was wondering if you might be able to tell me if the covers might be interchangeable? Thanks in advance

So as far as the same model of truck: does anyone know if the diamondback cover is interchangeable between 2nd and 3rd gen tundras?

I found a good deal on a diamondback that was made for a 3rd gen, but I have a 2011. The diamondback website says the 2nd and 3rd gen covers are the same overall size except that the 3rd gen is 3/4 inch longer. Wondering if anyone had actually tried it out.

I’m new to the forum so I apologize in advance if I’m breaking any of the forum etiquette. Thanks!
