Got my TracRac trimmed down (took 7.5" off the uprights) and reinstalled along with my DB tie-downs. Next is the bike racks.

This thing is sweet I would say the last time I was this impressed was when I got my first Benchmade knife. Looking forward to rain to check on the weather tightness and also happy to have back the one feature I missed on my Ridgeline.

I get my Diamondback next week. Can't wait to rip the Bakflip MX4 off and pop the DB on. Looks good as I have the same truck/ color!

I was working on installing my diamondback cover. I found that there is a drain channel at the very top with a bracket and the channel for the accessories right below it. I am assuming i just need to take the bracket off and reinstall the channel for the tie down in the original holes at the top. Has anyone else come across this problem?? Not sure what the drain channel was there for i always had water in my truck bed.

Did you put the small rectangular spacers underneath the center section of the bed caps? I didn’t because the night before I silicone sealed the caps, had no idea it came with those to put on :anonymous:
I get a little water dripping down on the wheel wells in the center. Just wondering if I should pull up the caps and put those spacers on there are re-seal them and maybe that’ll fix the leak

    Too many, but not enough....
Yes I put them on and I don't get any leaks except near the top of the tailgate where it opens and only if I'm parked nose down on a hill and it's a downpour but I can't seal the tailgate gaps 100% so no biggy. I would definitely put them on.

Is it leaking from the center section of the diamondback or from under the caps? Silicone won't help if the caps get deformed.

I love my diamondback, but a PSA. DO recheck your tension on your mounting clamps (as the installation directions state so to do). Mine had loosened enough that one was in the bed, one on the other side about to fall off, and the remaining 2 were down to roughly hand tight.

I didn’t put any spacers or butyl tape when I installed mine. It has been pretty dry with all our rain and lots of snow this year.

You can tighten it up by pulling the covers down and adjusting the locking bars.

I think you need to flip the center section around, they put the black seal around the whole cover then cut the seal at the hinges, so the seal may not match when the center section is flip front to back.

I just read through this entire thread and only saw 1 truck with the 270 cover. I ordered a 270 from the outlet. Should be here in a few days. FYI, there are a few Tundra covers in the outlet, right now.

Not sure why the 270 isn't more prolific. I like the split front panel as well as the SE I have. In fact, the 270 may be more efficient to use.

I like the 180 and 270 designs for access to the contents of your box. I had to settle on the SE because of the racks that are one mine. The little boxes that they made are nice to organize stuff.

I want to try and put a rack that fits in the middle and then closer to the rear. We'll see what I can come up with.

I think they require a HD for racks

Not too bad. I had a buddy swing by to give me a hand and it took less than 30 minutes with his help.

I gotta talk up Diamondback's customer service for a minute.

I forgot to order 4 spare cleats for my cover when I originally bought it so I went to order them yesterday. The cleats were $84 CAD and shipping was $73. That shipping charge seemed nuts for such small pieces, so I emailed Diamondback to see if there was a cheaper way to ship.

Their customer service rep Ben replied with an invoice he put together with a $20 shipping charge, making the total a much more reasonable $107 CAD when the dust settles. That's awesome service and they get top marks in my book for being flexible enough and willing to work with a customer.

    Way to go Diamondback!

Ordered on a Wednesday, in Houston Monday, and in my garage on Thursday, on truck 8 days after I ordered. I was expecting 3-4 weeks.

    102.jpg 103.jpg 104.jpg

Took a solid 8 hours to add the the tracks. I wanted them perfect, so spend about 5 hours measuring.
Trying to space the tracks and keep them parallel to a trapezoid with round corners is no easy feat, but it came out perfect.
I had the core bars and towers from my 2016, I might get HD bars. Really wish Yakima sold the Trim HD bars in the US.

Picked up and installed a DiamondBack SE today. I was going back and forth between DB and Retrax... and a Canopy too. Hopefully will serve me well and I won't need to switch to a canopy.
As a bonus a six foot step ladder fits under it - it wouldn't with any other "flat" tonneau cover  Very happy with the quality and simplicity of the install.

In the mud, now you need a bedrug to keep all that stuff from sliding around in that expanse called a bed! ;)

True. I am waiting for a bed mat (backordered) cause everything is running around in there now.
