Certainly not cheap but I love it. It looks great and I love the security it affords. Thanks to everyone for the pics and discussion, it helped me take the plunge.

They're from diamondback. It's part of their atv package. That, ramps, risers and a side roll bar to keep it from nose diving off side if not properly secured.

Does anyone use any sort of protectant on these?

I'm sure you wouldn't use a carnauba wax but maybe one of the newer polymer waxes? I haven't seen anything mentioned anywhere.

Even the “smooth” finish will tear up a microfiber. I would not bother waxing the cover. Mine still looks new after two years in the sun.

I am thinking about using Carpro Dlux. Need to do some research on Autogeek. Going to order a cover soon.

I'm guessing you haven't seen anything on cleaning it because it's super simple to keep clean and look great assuming it's linexed. I've never more than washed it with soap, water, and wash mitt. Mines probably around 5 years old and still looks the way it did when I first installed it. I'd even say 99% of time just soap and water does the trick. I only ever scrub a bit to get things like bird shit off it once a while.

That is good news......it will be nice to have a cover that doesn't fade and end up looking like crap no matter what you do.

......now if I would just receive a truck to put it on.

Bruh, I got a micro fiber mop. I’ll dip it in car soap and stand on the cover to wash the cab roof, back window then mob the cover. Super convenient…

So after 5 years with my Diamondback cover the weatherstripping has started to get old. It looks a little dry and cracked in a few places.

I called Diamondback to buy new stripping. That’s when the questions started. They asked if it was the perimeter stripping or at the hinge seam. Then they told me my address and asked me to confirm. Nothing else! Then they said that on Monday they would ship me new weatherstripping - free, and free shipping. I had an email with my order number 5 minutes after calling.

You can’t get better service than that!

That's awesome, yeah I gotta say anytime and everytime I've had the slightest issue they go out their way to make sure their customers are happy. I've only had great experiences with them, glad to hear you're getting same.

After quite a bit of research, including reading most of this thread, I just ordered the DB SE for my '23 Tundra arriving this week. Also purchased a Yakima Outpost rack system to go along with it for a cargo box we already own to carry skis this winter. Since I wanted the track for the Yakima rack and the anchor cleats installed at the factory, I ordered over the phone. They were great to deal with on the phone.

I've been really happy with my SE. I got it as a 'factory second' before my truck was even built. I honestly can't tell what was supposedly wrong with the gasket.

I recently inquired about extra Medeco keys. They got back to me almost immediately. Unfortunately, the reason I couldn't find a locksmith to make me a key is these are 'high security' and they have a partnership with Medeco.......a set is 50 bucks.

^ That’s dope! Also guys there’s a Black Friday deal going on right now. $200 off $1500. $400 off $3000. I just got the diamond back HD 8’ long boy! With the overhaul hd rack set up. Was $3848 and brought it down to $3448.. yes these things ain’t cheap.. coulda bought a beater truck instead ..

Side note! Anyone ever see a Diamondback cover on a 2.5 gen with the 8’ bed? I have never seen one and am curious how big the fixed midsection is. Thanks.

Good day fellow Tundra owners. I want a Diamond SE but I'm not sure it will fit with my lumber rack. I need some measurements to figure out what I have to do to make things fit. Diamondback support wasn't all that helpful. I have a 2013 DC. I'm looking for the actual panel sizes, lids and stationary piece. Also the height when the lids are open. Thanks in advance!

I got an SE for the 2022 Limited 6.5' bed. I had an HD on the Ridgeline and that went during the trade. I have Thule TracRac attached to my SE to carry the kayaks. They are rated for 800 lbs. The nice part about the Diamondback is that you can add things to it like TracRac's and headache racks and a-lot of other things that they have added to their website. My TracRac crossbars are about 5.5' from each other and that is because I decided to install them at that spacing. They are a blank canvas when it comes to adding other things. You just have to be aware of where the structural bracing is under each section so you can install your fasteners. If I recall, the HD would have more bracing to allow for more carrying capacity.

Mine opens all the time. Our weather is milder than most places in Canada but we do get cold snaps like we have right now.

The bigger issue will be the rubber seal freezing to the box edges.

Maybe a silicon spray could be applied to the rubber to keep it from ripping apart.

Spray a little silicone on the seal surfaces that contact the rails and tailgate

Good to hear, I've been eyeing these up since I've gotten my Tundra, still haven't pulled the trigger yet. My current roll up tonneau causes my tailgate to freeze to the rubber seal and as a result I can't get anything open when it drops below 35 or so. Super annoying, but it sounds like with this I'll have no problem accessing my bed in winter, just could be an issue if I wanted to remove it.. I'll have to try the silicone on my current cover to see if that helps in the meantime.

Kudos to Diamondback Covers regarding my Diamondback SE order. I took advantage of the Black Friday sale, which saved me $550ish CDN on my order of the SE cover, base track installation, Yakima SkyLine HD rack system, tool bar, ratchet tie-downs, Quick Fist clamps and extra anchor cleats. I had a few questions when building my order and DiamondBack Customer Service was very quick to respond. I placed the order on 28 Nov 2022 and it was delivered to my doorstep in Canada on 20 Dec 2022.

As per the attached photos, the tonneau cover and accessories were well packaged and received without issue.

The tonneau cover and accessories will sit in my garage until I take delivery of my 2023 Tundra hybrid Limited TRD Off Road, which is anticipated to be in early spring 2023. I will provide an update with additional photos once I get my truck and install the tonneau cover.

Figured I’d post this here for folks who have or are looking for a Diamondback HD cover and would like some type of rack for (fun) purposes.

The UpTop Overland Diamondback Truss Bed Rack is a great option as you won’t have to do ANY DRILLING for the rack on your cover, they utilize the existing cleats on the HD as their mount points. It also has a Dynamic load rating of 300lbs and Static load rating of 1100lbs. I couldn’t find that info on their page so I just got that from emails with them. That’s a big plus for me as I just didn’t really like the thought of having to drill into the cover for the existing rack or crossbar applications (front runner, Yakima, etc..) and also having a great load rating for RTTs since that’s why I’m interested. Also just to be clear this is only for the HD version, not SE as well as assuming you had Diamondback preinstall your cleats for you at manufacturing, otherwise you’ll have to get the rack and then put your cleats on since their mount points are based on where Diamondback installs them.

I also have no affiliation with UpTop, just was doing a ton of research for my setup I’m looking for and just didn’t want to drill into the cover or also sacrifice potential leak points for having rack adapters go under the factory DB seals.
