Diamondback cover and Texas heat

Looking at purchasing a Diamondback SE for the new tundra. Any issues with heat and sun? I live in Texas so it’s obviously pretty hot and am concerned about the sheet of aluminum. Had a Rollnlock A series on previous Ram and loved it but don’t want to sacrifice 10” of space in the short bed. It was aluminum as well but also had some insulation I believe.

I’m in San Antonio and it’s not been a concern. I doubt that the bed area itself gets any hotter than it would with another cover and is probably no worse than having stuff sit in direct sunlight. It’s definitely hot to the touch, but nothing that has created an issues for me. I love it and would definitely buy again.
