sadly it feels like the whole thing is barely on there. It won’t fit into the channel around the outside

Is the Perot up and running again? I know there was talks of bankruptcy during the height of covid. It's a really cool place especially if you've got kids.

Art museum in Dallas by the MHHB is another I'd add to the list (if you're into that kind of thing)

One of my favorite things in Dallas is the arboretum. It’s a really cool place to wander around if you enjoy observing the colors of nature! If you’re in Dallas proper, there are some good eats and breweries in the deep ellum area, and Perot isn’t far from there either.

DFW peeps, I need to find some recommendations for event venues. My company wants to put on some trainings that will get messy (I’ll be mixing and demonstrating cement products). So hotel meeting rooms aren’t ideal. I need more of like the flex room in a rec center. Something that’s rented by the day and has hard surface floors. They don’t need to be huge rooms, we usually train a max of 25 people at a time.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

20210524_170231.jpg 20210525_174910.jpgAnyone in the DFW area interested in a new black front valence? I ordered it, put it on my truck, and hated it lol so I went back to the stock gray one. Only damage it has is small marks where the mounting screws touch the plastic. Nothing cosmetic. It's fresh out of the box and was on my truck for 5 minutes.

Also selling a chrome hood bulge and grille off of 2014 1794 edition both in good condition

*See pictures of front valence and complete grille assembly*

Please send me a PM if interested.

Sub'd! Welp our employer is blessing us with a move from central IL to DFW area. Appreciate this thread on things to do and DFW area members. I have all sorts of random questions forming in my head..:
    - Is "howdy" really the proper greeting? I say that round here half the time anyway even though no one else does lol.
    - With lifted trucks assumingly more prevalent there are Texas parking garages taller and residential garages taller there in general...Migo checks in at like 7'2". Sweet I'm seeing no "lifted truck laws" there.
    - Maybe I'm going to see a Tundra like every like every 20th truck there instead of like every 100th here...cool!
    - When I feel up the 38 gal tank there can I do it on one credit card transaction there!
    - Wonder if Yota allows factory tours in San Antonio
    - Guessing there's no reason to bring the snowblower and shovels...should be a great time to sale it here in middle of summer
    - Would my kids be scarred for life if we lived in the camper for several mos cause your housing market is on fire!! ouch!! ouch!! freakin' ouch!!
    - On a more sincere note if any of you have perspectives to share on Keller, Colleyville, Southlake, Flower Mound or Coppell I'd welcome and greatly appreciate exchanging some PM's on it. Schools, oversized 3-4 garage space, backyard, some privacy, bit of rural feel but community feel, conservative values (should be easy in TX right) are some of our bigger drivers.

Hey bro, welcome to Texas soon. I see you're looking in norther parts of Dallas, depending on where your employer will be moving of course, I'd prolly look into Waxahachie, Midlothian, Mansfield, Redoak. Only because in those areas you listed above they are pretty expensive and quite densely populated. But idk what your financial situation is either, but again welcome to Texas. You'll fit right in dude.

Thank you sir! Will check out those areas as well! Need to be easy commute to DFW airport and Las Colinas. Agree areas I mentioned are total sticker shock. And to your point outside looking in Keller seems maybe too populous/dense for us...we're coming from a very nice village of 17k residents here in IL.

I live on the edge of Keller so if you have any questions, let me know. All the cities/towns you mentioned are old and established so finding a new home or one with any real space to spread out is going to be tough. Not impossible, just few and far between and very, very expensive.

Does anyone in DFW have experience installing the Hewitt-Tech block-off plates and could potentially give me a hand with it? I got the passenger side in, but for the life of me could not get the driver's side installed. Next step is to try and get it up on some jack stands and try a trick using the power steering that Paul from Hewitt-Tech suggested. I don't have jack stands or similar equipment at home, so checking to see if anyone local might be willing to have me come to your place and get a bit of help in exchange for a six-pack of your choosing? Much obliged!

Sorry Frieselu, I have no experience with Hewlett-Tech. Is that for the Air Injection Pump?

Yes it is. They offer a bypass kit to clear the codes and get the truck out of limp mode related to the AIP. The solution is mostly electronic, but also depends on installing some physical exhaust blocking plates in a couple places.

Yes, I've done as much as I can without jack stands or a lift to try some of the more advanced tips that require the wheels to be off. Hoping someone local with some equipment might be able to help.

Were you able to get that air injection pump bypass kit on? Reason I ask is because it looks like my wife’s used ‘07 Lexus GX470 is throwing an air injection pump code after all the dash lights came on. Luckily, it never went into limp mode, at least not yet.

Northwest OHV park in Bridgeport and lone star Offroad park in Grand Prairie are the only legal options. There are some dirt roads in LBJ Grasslands Park, but nothing real exciting.
