Great looking truck; welcome to the DFW crew!

Love that dark red; are you going to keep the chrome or color match all the chrome bits?

    That will look nice!
I'm going to eventually color match all my chrome to the body color of the truck.

Do you have a lowering kit in mind yet?

I am hoping the darker grey against the red will be a nice contrast.
I am just starting to research whats out there, but I am looking for something that is a 4-5" drop with 19" wheels and fender flares, or at least that is the plan at this point.

I'm waffling between lowering and lifting/leveling.
I would love to do something like Rutledge Wood's Tundra if I lower it.

His green truck is my dream truck but this newest one is insane. I’m trying to find some build pics and info online of what he did but can’t seem to. Do you know where they are?

He posted a little info on his website about the green truck, but nothing on his current Tundra.
If I had to guess, I'd say he did pretty much the same thing with the crewmax as far as suspension.

I'm not a big fan of his newest color choice but everything else is exactly what I'm looking to do.

    EXACTLY!!!!
I want to keep the red(its one of the reasons I bought the truck) but lower, add the fender flares and the wheel/tire setup. Do you know if its a 2/4" drop or a 4/6?
I'm pretty sure that hes got 20x10 wheels on it just not sure of the tires he put with it.

The only real info ive seen is an article where Rutledge says that he "dropped the truck 4 inches" and they also mentioned the original tires he had on it for the sema show were 33 x 12.5".

So the 2/4" drop on some really meaty tires.

Yeah, I dont think think it looks low enough to be the 4/6 anyway. That might be a little too low to pull off the look.

I know he used the Honey D flares, but I've seen Duraflex versions for literally half the price or better and I wonder how the quality compares...

I found the Honey D parts over the weekend when I started to research the project and was surprised at how expensive they are. I'll have to look into the Duraflex version.

Hello from McKinney, TX where the grass is green and the girls are pretty!!!

I already did my New Members Intro a few weeks ago but didn't know there was one for DFW. Missed the BWW meet and boy, I sure do love 'em chicken wings! Maybe next time.

Is there any get together between DFW and McKinney on a weekend for coffee or chicken wings? Got two little boys so weekday meets is pretty hard to get to. Early Saturday mornings is when I get to sneak out while the whole family is still asleep.

    Welcome!

I'm sure we could make something happen like that.
The BWW meet last week was us Ft. Worth folks but I'm sure we could do something in the mid cities area to avoid a hellacious drive for you guys on the East side of town.

Hey if not, then you just have to add a 3rd gen front end swap to the mod list.
