Destriping the tundra.....FINALLY

    Finally got around to destriping the truck! Been having pinstripes since the day I bought it 3 years ago.
    Didn't mind it until I waxed it and it left caked up residue that you had to use a toothpick or your fingernail to get.
    Don't know why I didn't do it from the get go.

    Still has a tiny bit of residue I couldn't get off with the wheel or goo gone. Going to try nail polish this weekend.

    Lesson learned.....If it comes with pinstripes.....ALWAYS get the dealer to take it off before driving it off the lot!

    Just a little but not enough to be concerned with.

    I waxed it religiously at least twice a year with spray wax in between. So, paint didn't fade all that much

    Only thing I would consider from this point on is wrapping the roof in black and this IMG_3174.jpg

    And would only do that on certain colors

    I think I'm gonna wait on my next tundy to get that done. Just think it looks better on the 3rd gen hoods. Not so much on the 2nd gens IMO
