Dent on my roof. Not sure how I got it. Not huge but big enough to drive me mad. Fortunately I have an awesome paintless dent remover fixer guy who has worked miracles for me in the past in other cars. Question he posed- how easy is it to drop the interior headliner? He'd obviously work from inside truck out. Will we be able to get headliner down and then back up without messing up trim, headliner, etc.?

You can dent the roof on these trucks with a paper plate

So are you suggesting I should just remove my headliner, and not put it back up, since I will be doing a lot of dent repair? :notsure:

I'm sorry my friend, sometimes im no help at all.
I have no experience with removal of the headliner, but many here have, hopefully someone will chime in.
I'd hate to think leaving it out would be part of the solution! lol

The headliner was a pain in the ass for me to remove. I took it down to put sound insulation on the roof. Removing the needed trims to remove the headliner was one of the issues. The head liner is also held up with Velcro in many places which can make putting it back up a pain. If I had to, I would do it again, but schedule more time then you would think to do it. Also note I was not able to completely remove the headliner as some wires were glued in place. I have a sunroof, so I don't know if this makes a difference. Granted I did this a year ago, so my memory might be a little off. In contrast, my 2006 Tacoma was really easy to remove the head liner in.

I have heard that headliners are really a PIA to remove. Agreed, I would not do it.

Thanks for the insight. I have a sunroof too. I suspected it would be a nightmare, especially with the sunroof. My dent guy said he may be able to access the dent by going through the sunvisor bracket. I will take a look tonight.

I have a few dents on my roof as well but not sure how they got there. Most people will never know, but the fact that I know they are there bothers me.

I suspect a branch or rock/debris while on highway (mine is an inch above the windshield)
