I just had my sensors changed at Sams club, which apparently was my first mistake! Everything worked as it should until I got my truck back. Now the key fob will not lock the doors until after 15-20 seconds or so? I replaced the battery in both Fobs to no avail. I called Sams club tire and battery the same day and was told that I need to find another avenue! Not very professional to say the least! They first told me that all they do is walk by each wheel to program them. I corrected them by saying that they had to plug into the ecu and then they began crawfishing on their original statement. They definitely changed something in the system! Any ideas or suggestions beside going to the dealership as I am well beyond my warranty period now. It is aggravating to say the least when it was all working before they changed the tire sensors!

So when you shut the door and hit the fob, its takes 15-20 to lock, or do you have to wait 15-20 after shutting the door for the fob to work?

It takes 15-20 seconds to lock with the fob and beep after I shut the door.

The fob will not do anything until after that time.

It almost sounds like the frequency of the sensors is messing with your fob frequency and your truck is locking on default after you turn off the truck and close the door. Maybe a soft reset by disconnecting the battery, but that may make it worse?

That's definitely strange. Did you play with the settings for lock delay in the head unit to see if it makes any difference?

It sure does. It is not auto locking though? Unlock will not do anything either until it locks with the fob after the delay.

I have an aftermarket radio, so I unfortunately lost that functionality.

Do you happen to have any aftermarket led lights installed?

Was my first thought too. See if it it still happens when the cargo and interior light switches are all the way to off.

Scott, did you add any aftermarket LED'S to your truck?

Actually it is auto locking. My 07 will lock itself after about 30 seconds of me turning off the car and closing the door... or maybe it's a gremlin, lol.. but I'm pretty sure it locks itself as soon as I jump out..

They are in the interior lights, but have been in there for a few years now.

Will try it this morning to see if it will auto lock along with watching the interior lights timing out.

I verified this when my starter went out, I took a step back and let the tow truck driver try and do his magic. He put the keys on the seat and dragged himself under the truck. Out of curiosity I followed on the sidewalk to see what he was banging at, cuz I was 100% sure it wasn't the starter. We both heard the locks and it went from a starting mission to a locksmith mission. At that point he decided to just tow it to a shop and I got him to tow it to my house instead... he didn't charge me for retrieving the keys as he had locked them in himself.

I tried with and without the led lights to no avail. It would not auto lock after over several minutes. Ironically, I drove to town and had a tpms light come on which resulted from Sams not having adequate tire pressure. I did a tpms reset with the dash button and I have not had any FOB issues since. It totally doesn’t make any sense to me at all! I’m just glad it is back to normal now! I sincerely appreciate all of the help and recommendations.

That's definitely very strange indeed, thanks for the update.
