Great thing about being on here is that I can get a sliver of hope hearing everyone else's situation. Hopefully I get a phone call soon!

This may be different as I am in Canada
But how long after ordering should the dealership get an approximate delivery date?
Realizing I just heard San Antonio has dropped down to 1 shift per day..
I believe Toyota has a separate branch that deals with logistics. In the times of Algorithms they should be able to give a time frame subject to change ..Some little spec of light in the tunnel would be good..
On the Flip side maybe they have time now to refine some of the issues discovered early on .
    Like waste gate actuators..

I don’t know for sure, but it seems we don’t have the same access to information, as the States, re; knowing build date, etc. My dealer said they only get the vin when veh hits the border, so a 3-4 day lead time give or take.

i knew my expected arrival date (range) when I bought, but I got an unsold allocated vehicle, so they knew they had it on their list at least. If it wasn’t already allocated, I think they have to wait to see when they can get your desired build allocated to them before they can guess at arrival date.

But I’m guessing at best. Fwiw I ordered mid Jan and arrival was March, bumped to April now.

Got some inside info I thought I’d pass along to you guys - spoke to a guy at the race track this weekend whose company is involved in fixing the issue with these new high trim Tundras. Apparently a fuse was placed in the incorrect position during assembly causing systems failures when the vehicles are taken out of transport mode. The systems that failed when the trucks were “activated” need replaced and the ones that haven’t been “activated” need to be retrofitted before they can be delivered. Of course, everyone is waiting on parts.

uggh ,Weird why things are so different in Canada. I imported a car once an yes the paperwork has to arrive 3 -4 days ahead for processing or your waiting.
I Placed my Deposit on a 2022 In September ,While simultaneously having deposit on a 2021 while waiting for firm details on the Canadian 2022 .I Was first in The dealer ship. Literally I am 3 minutes away in October as they were selecting their allocation .They they figured they would get one in I wanted . After seeing that the Double cab was even smaller I went to switch it up.They had f--D up what I wanted any way so good thing I went in .My Salesman is not the tip of the Sword. So Early January I got the new order in.

So when they get their allocation of the model you bought, then they should be able to estimate delivery, I think!
What prov / part of country?

I just called and complained about my volume not working at all and I found out that there was a fuse removed in the wrong place or never installed correctly. This may have been from the factory??

Oh jeez me too. I had an April eta on an allocated but not sold limited (mid Jan visit) but wanted off road and they just found one for end of May - I think by dealer trade.

Have you confirmed the model code for your Platinum with 6.5' box?

Also, has anyone confirmed whether page 545 from the Owner's Manual includes the model codes for both the gas and hybrid models?

I think the hybrids are not included. They will have their own ratings that will be different due to the weight of battery. I believe the originally stated tow ratings for hybrids were 500lbs less across the board. But I haven’t confirmed

Is there any information about what the quality control hold is for? I put a deposit on a 2022 Tundra 1794 in November 2021. The build date was December 9, 2021, with a delivery date of December 21, 2021. It was put on QC Hold shortly after it arrived at the port in Southern Indiana. I am still waiting on it! The dealer has no information available from Toyota. I called customer service yesterday, and they couldn’t help either.
I can understand and tolerate a 30 day hold, but not over 2 months. Especially with no explanation of why. Any help is appreciated.

its hard to say man, there are a lot of qc issues in total, so it’s hard to say which one yours has. The turbo one is the biggest so far

It would definitely be frustrating, but I would take a delay if it meant receiving a quality product. I love my Platinum, but it is riddled with problems - it's just ridiculous what Toyota is sending out.
