I have the manual lever type mirror and the reflective part is delaminating around the edges. Is it possible or worth it to install the auto dimming kind? It's also kind of pain to reach to flip it sometimes which is why I would like an auto dimming type.

Your truck may or may not have the required connections to power the auto dimming mirror. You will have to dig around in the headliner up by the dome light/stuff holder that's mounted on the inside of the roof of the cab to see if you can find a pigtail.

I changed out my standard mirror for homelink/dimming/compass mirror, one of my favorite mods. Check eBay for a Gentex 453 and a long 8" Gentex extension to hide the wire:

The Gentex looks like a cool mirror. It seems ti be easy to install.

Genres with homelink is 3 wires, without homelink is 2 wires. I typically just get junkyard ones from other Toyota’s with the pig tails.. super easy to wire up if you don’t already have the connector
