Did you have to remove anything or did they do all the dirty work?

Damn, this looks very impressive. Might have to have this as a Plan B. If you don’t mind me asking, what exactly and what quantity of product did you order? Trying to gauge what I would need for all 4 bumper caps 2 coats like you did.

    Thanks!

They only have Quart and Gallon sizes. 1 quart was more than enough for me.

    Awesome.

I see they have free color chips available too. Might pick up one of each of their grays and see if the lighter one is any closer of a cement match than the medium gray.

So prior to putting thought towards the bed liner option, I had already ordered my paint from automotive touch up. I’d say I’m about 85% satisfied with the outcome. Main reasons are the shade is a little on the dark side plus I couldn’t get the clear coat quite how I wanted it but might go back later on and try to gloss it over. My back up plan depending on how the paint holds to the chrome will be to do the roll on bedliner for the bumper caps. I’ll just leave the surround and bulge as is for a while. Here’s some before and after though of what I did, not bad for a first time I don’t think though.

Looks great, I’m about to do the same. Of course after I ordered everything, I found out Linex can do color matching :(

For what I paid ($100) I’m okay with it for now! Just need to work on technique in the future and with clear coating.

I’m def interested in getting some of the monstaliner roll on paint one of the guys earlier in the thread mentioned. I ordered 3 of their free paint chip samples just to have.

I’ve also determined just from this job that cement is one of the hardest colors to match lol

I have done some dechroming on my first gen using Rustoleum rattle can liner. The key is one part prep and one part spray technique. It behaves differently than spray paint, gotta shake the can constantly and do test blasts before each coat to make sure the tip isn't clogged. It can sputter like mad, also I toss the can and start a new one once it's under half full. When they get low enough they'll sputter and run. Adhesion promoter like bulldog is important. Know up front that it has a rough texture and will catch fibers when you wash your truck.

My next bed liner to use will be monstaliner for sure, going to do my bed with it.
