Just happen to have a set in my garage I need to install....

center bolt from leaf to leaf is right about 3". If you measure from one end of the bolt to the other it's about 3 1/2"

Quick question, what is the difference between the U748 and U748L? The overload leafs? Is there a difference in haul weight, performance, etc?

Who did you get your set up through? MCM? Have you heard anything on the 3 inch deaver springs? Was thinking of getting this exact setup but might go with the 3 inch if I can get someone local to install. Corona Ca.

Yes, i bought everything from MCM. Being in Corona, you should go direct to Deaver or Atlas for the leafs. They can make them exactly for the weight that you’ll be carrying.

edited to address the 3” leafs.... They would be preferable to any of the shelf leaf packs available for our trucks. SS Built is local to Corona I think and they could do the install. Or check out Steal Nutz.

You also need the mount kit for the 3” leafs. Get with @papasmurf

just go direct to Deaver. call them/email first to see if they have them in stock and make appointment. I went there last time when I swapped my K37s for the expo pack.
shipping on leaf pack is killer.

Just installed u748 today is it normal that the axle shifted slightly to towards the rear?

yeah the axle shifting doesn't look too good. My wheel still centered post leaf pack install.

I agree with @TheBeast - the axel shift does not look right. My wheels were centered after install too. Before installing I noticed that the center pin was not straight so I had to hit the leafs back so that the pin was vertical. Were the center pins lined up correctly in the leaf pack? This was before adjusting:

Stupid question, but is the front and back half of the leaf the same length?

It looks like your Ubolts are like 3/4” too short. From what I understand the bolt thread should extend past the nut the length of the nut for bolt strength because of Ubolt stretch. is the spring pack way taller than stock?

Also are the camburg shackles long enough for those springs? Or Could the leafs possibly be installed backwards? Ive only done rear shackles on Tundras, full packs on Tacomas . But I've installed a lot of lifts on other brands of trucks and rock crawlers. Mine has 3” coachbuilder shackles and the wheel sits centered. The king bumpstop looks like it wont hit the plate centered.

When I took that picture the u bolts weren’t entirely torqued. There was way more threads showing after torquing down.

Camburg advertised that their shackles are specific for Deavers leafs.

I thought it might be backwards but all the photos I’ve seen of Deavers the sticker is towards the front of the truck.

I’ve messaged Deaver but no reply

Ok let me clear some stuff up....

1 - ubolts are ubolts, there is nothing special about them, they are certain lengths widths and sizes, but nothing more than that , you have the correct ones

2- based on the stickers, you have them in the correct location. L is the driver side, R is the Passenger side.

3 - while yes your axle looks like its back a bit, that's not going to hurt anything, your pinion angle is good, and when you cycle the suspension your rear axle actually travels in an arch, not straight up and down. So if you went full bump your wheels would be about an inch or more to the rear... so you shouldn't have any issues here.

4 - your driveshaft collapses and extends, so no issues there

So id say run it and see how the truck performs any weird noises. From there call Deaver talk to Scott and see what he says, but honestly, I think it's fine. I wouldn't get too hung up over it.

SDHQ just got back to me apparently I wasn’t paying attention to the double wrapped eyelet should be towards the front. Instead I was judging by the sticker, smh. Will flip it tomorrow.

For those noobs like me, make sure to have the double wrapped eyelets facing towards the front. Big thanks to Brice at SDHQ for getting back to me ASAP.

They are King 2.0 Bump Stop kit (20AB001-105). Bought through Toytec. They come with striking pad compatible with stock u-bolts. I got the ubolt flip kit with striking pad from Archive Garage.

I need some help here guys... I'm currently running the original (pre-Aluma) Toytec Boss kit on my '18 Crewmax with the Boss internal reservoir shocks (for now) and Toytec shackles set at 1.5" of lift. I'm in need of a spring setup that will yield the same lift that I currently have, but resist sagging when loading up the bed with dirtbikes or loaded with camping gear while towing my overland trailer. It is really amazing how the rear of these trucks sag with so little weight. I run unloaded most of the time.

I'm thinking the U748 setup will fit my needs and help with the sag avoidance, can anyone confirm? Will they work with the Boss shocks and can I use my Toytec shackles, or should I get the MCM shackles? Do I need to buy the bushings that @M C M offers?

I've also looked into the OME Dakar setup, but they say that adds 2.5" of lift, which is too much. It's all very confusing what works with what. Thanks for the input!

Perfect rear springs are a unicorn. Either you need extra lift or extra stiffness to avoid sagging with load. The stiffness stinks in daily driving. Is offroading flex an issue for you?

I would say travel is a secondary concern as I don’t do anything too crazy in terms of offroading.

I’m currently looking into roadmaster active suspension. The reviews i am reading are that they prevent sag really well and possibly even add a slight lift

Even with U748 you will sag with 2 bikes and gear. If you are worried about sag while loaded and a decent ride empty you will want to look into air bags.
