I have my Toytecs on the middle setting. I think they're awesome, got me the lift I wanted, and I think the new bushings helped improve the ride, but I'm also looking at going with some Deaver U748. I asked MCM Fab if I could run the Deavers with the Toytecs and still stay at about 1-1.5" lift where I'm at now. He said that would be possible if I set the Toytecs at the lowest setting, but I'm pretty sure there's not enough room above the shackle to do this. I already had to trim one of the bolts sticking down above the shackle. According to Toytec, they can only be used at the middle and top settings with Tundras. I'll probably end up having to use whatever shackle MCM sells with the Deavers (and a set of Deaver spec'd ADS bypasses :frusty:).

That is my concern with the Toytec shackles as well. I read a post somewhere on this forum where someone was complaining of a squeaking noise from the bed of their truck after installing the Toytec shackles on the middle setting. He finally tracked it down to the top of the shackle rubbing against a bolt head. Based on his experience I don't think they'll work for me on the lowest setting.

I shouldn't have gone on the top setting but wanted to see what it would look like - it ended up flattening my leaf springs very quickly. I'm also considering getting a refresher leaf and trying to add 1-1.5" and would just go back to the factory shackles. Either way would be fine. I don't tow often and when I do it's ~3500lbs.

Not at all - hopefully we can figure it out. It's not critical but probably the next project I will tackle on the truck. I see my bed bouncing around like crazy and it feels like crap because of the flat springs.. Particularly on concrete highway - the change from slab to slab feels like I'm driving over millions of speedbumps. Is yours the same?

I think I read the same post about the squeaking. I'm not sure if I had any squeaking, but there was definitely a little contact between the bolt and shackle.

Don't worry too much about flattening your springs on the top setting. Mine are flat now on the middle setting. I rarely tow, but I do have a shell on 365 days a year that adds 200-300 lbs. @M C M suggested the U748 over the K37.

There's a "yo momma" joke wandering around here somewhere..

I'll be adding a bed rack eventually as well. Interestingly my ride is much nicer right now with 200-300lbs in the bed..

U748 are designed to handle extra weight better and ride nice.
Then you want the U748 also. I have that setup works great.

MCM or Total Chaos shackles. A lot beefier that stock ones but still get 3/4 to 1". Best of both world imo.

Is there any difference in lift height between the Deaver K37 and U748?

    It never ends does it?
My best guess from my recent buying experience is - no they are the same ride height unloaded. The extra ride height is tied to the extra length of the shackle.

I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to give a shout-out to Matt MCM for his excellent support and knowledge with ADS and Deavers.

2.5in ADS Resi Clickers in front (700lb spring) with MCM UCA
2.5in ADS Bypass in back with extended travel to match to a set of Deaver U748 springs

Took them out into the dirt (unloaded) and they were still in a whole different league than the stock setup I had before. Definitely not overly stiff.
