    Hey, stranger things have happened...

I once ran across a lady on a street corner who claimed to want me bad.

Almost the exact same story on my 2008 a couple years ago. Dealer offered $8k and I turned around and sold it private sale for just under $22k.

A low mileage Gen2.5 Tundra will probably fly off a lot fast for really good money. Not many are made or traded early. Check Carmax and see how many are available in our region compared to other makes for a gauge. Last I checked it was only a handful.

Banking a new sale stat probably helps but being able to sell your trade for thousands over what they give you without putting much into it is probably what really makes them salivate.

Yep, they make more off used vehicles when they sell them. Local dealership that I used for free oil changes calls me every few months wanting to service my vehicle. They also send me postcards for free or reduced price oil changes. Post cards never come when I actually need an oil change. Even if they did I have Fumoto valve and figure they would just pull it. They would probably also just pull skid plate even though I have an access door. Then would probably leave bolts out of it. Post cards go straight to recycle bin and VMs are deleted. One time they wanted to check for recalls when I had none. Apparently they have forgotten that I gave them a 0 on a survey after service.

I've got to get all my fluids changed since I hit 100K miles.
Not sure who I'm going to have to do it, I don't have the time or patience.

But I figured I better remove my cat shields and TRD skid plate and put them back on myself.
Don't trust ANYONE else to do it correctly.. :eek2:

I'm guessing I'd need to remove the front skid plate for a coolant change, is that correct?

There was no TRD Pro Tundra in 2018. They skipped that year with the TSS introduction. Cavalry Blue was the Pro exclusive color that year, and bled down to lower trims in 2019. If your truck is Cavalry Blue then it's not a Pro, and if it's a Pro it's not Cavalry Blue.

Common sales tactic. They cold call old customers routinely.
