Toyota removed it to save a buck.

They figured if someone wants one, they can buy it from the parts dept.
I feel like that's why there was no factory rear sway bar standard. They figured if someone wanted one, they'll buy the TRD rear sway bar from them.

I took my grab handle off my 07 before I sold it and switched it with my 2019.

I almost fell the first time in the 19 trying to grab the non existent handle.

joined this forum today after buying 2021 Tundra. This thread answered my questions about the missing driver grab handle - need to add one for my 5'2" wife. Also learned about megazip from this thread, had never heard of that - saved about 100 bucks compared to best I had found. We can wait a few weeks. Sparkparts is back ordered for their kit. I probably have the hardware in my left over buckets.

    Thanks

ETA next day in case anyone reads my post and wonders about megazip, not so impressed, received email below five hours after placed order:

NOOOO, not to save a buck; it was a "safety" issue! Like when the geniuses at Toyota deleted Amber Flashers/Signals, Door-bottom LIGHTS(all 4) instead of the Yugo -like reflectors, Lighted Ignition Ring, Sliding Console, Dual HVAC Controls,Dual Glove Boxes and the Transmission oil Cooler. Everything listed here came standard, or as an ordered option on my 2010 SR5. I've been expecting Toyota to replace the Hood Struts with a prop-rod soon!:D

Ditto, and cancelled mine... and they cordially confirmed cancellation. Nice enough, just not going to wait and deal with split shipments.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but there’s been a huge back order for the handle I placed my order with spark parts back in June 2022 I’ve emailed them back and forth but it seems there is a pretty large line with sparks parts and the culprit they flame is Toyota not getting them the grab handles that they order. Also cannot find it on any parts sites. So I guess we wait and see. Sparks is great and I trust them but I’m very surprised with this backlog of parts lately.

I had the same issue with them. But I did receive a prompt refund however.

Was striking out on eBay, and sparks and all the rest were back ordered… so I just started calling auto dismantlers and asking if they had any 2010-2014 tundras… took about an hour before I found one (rancho Cordova CA) and they had the handle… shipped to my door two days later for $80.

I just cancelled my Sparks order from the end of May! Waiting on the refund telephone call. It's been so long they don't have my CC information anymore.

I finally found a used one at a local salvage yard. I kept searching Craigslist Auto Parts and finally a 2011 with a decent gray interior popped up.

Trim piece and handle $40. I did have to swap out the bolt covers with another truck in the yard due to some discoloration on them, but hey, my truck is not a show piece, just a "stocker".;)

For those in the DFW area, I just found this one in Mesquite....https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ptd/7570358661.html

Just to make sure, I need a driver’s side handle and A pillar cover when I call around like you did? Anything else needed?

What was the place in Rancho Cordova?

    Thanks!

Yeah handle and pillar are two separate parts. There’s part numbers for each, but the Guy at Rancho Cordova knew exactly what I was talking about.

I also made sure to request that the hardware be included… and they did. You’ll need a slightly longer bolt and the extruded U nut to capture it. Plus some minor trimming to the bottom of the plastic. All the install info is in this thread.

I'm also looking for these parts. Hopefully the backorder will be over soon. In the meantime I'll keep searching junkyards etc.
