Never seen this happen before and have never had an issue debadging. Almost wonder if they put the badges on your truck to quickly after paint?

Yea, I saw that video and several others - certainly looks doable with the right products. I got two estimates at $600 - no thanks. Right now I'm $40 into this and sounds like I need a can of slow-reducer also. Damage is on the passenger side too. There should be plenty of left over to fix any future minor repairs too.

I’ve only ever used fishing line and then removed any excess adhesive with Goo Gone. I’d put on some black badges or have a body shop repaint it.

Let's make something VERY clear. I did NOT suggest the "cheap route"!! I merely showed the OP that there indeed was an alleged "paint matched" rattle can and even mentioned that is is actually NOT an exact match. What I DID RECOMMEND was biting the bullet and having a professional body shop do the repair as it is a $40-50k vehicle, for crying out loud!!

Being in the auto body business for many years. My thought is that panel has been repainted at one point and it wasn’t prepped correctly and the paint didn’t adhere properly ! Only way to fix that correctly without noticing it is to do a full panel refinish and probably blend the door as well to ensure paint match. Those emblems are back to far on the fender to just paint it my 2 pennies
Prob loooking at around $700-$800 to do
