    Damn old ass thread.

then you have nothing but comfort. 4 6ft + adults can be in the truck extra comfortably with the front seats all the way to the rear stops

I agree with the above post. Everyone has their own personal preferences and reasons.

Does the CM have air vents in the back? The 2015 DC I have does not have rear vents

Because the CM looks better. This is coming from a DC owner.

Had a DC and now have a CM. A Tundra is a Tundra. I love both and plus Platinum only comes in a CM so I had no choice........

The average CM will always look more balanced by design, but I will say nothing beats a DC long bed lifted on 37s

Purposely bought my DC because I value bed space over rear seat space. To each their own - we all acquire what we want or need and should be happy with that. While I'd like a 1794, I won't ever get one unless it's offered in DC so I have the bed space.

Prince Fozz, refused getting into the bed of the truck. He's ok with it, but I had to cushion the back seat where the seat belts are. They stick out into Fozz's back when he is lying down. Larger cab would be nice, but it tows the boat and dog just fine.20190330_110736.jpg

The DC worked out perfect for what I was hauling before I retired.
Kids have gone bye bye and the only room we
need now in the back is for my wife’s bags.
To tell you the truth, if I was single, right now, I would have the absolute best looking model, the RC 6’ bed!

Had the CM and rarely used the back seat. I often found myself hauling things that would hang out beyond the tailgate. Plus I hated the unlevel floor in the max with no factory storage. Traded for a DC and love it. Best of both worlds. Room enough for the occasional back seat passenger. Plenty of room in the bed for whatever and storage under the seat. I do however miss being and to roll the back window down.

My next Tundra will be a crewmax. I have never needed a 6.5ft box. Never. Not even when I worked in construction. Much rather load/unload a trailer than a truck bed.

none on my 17. if you take the rear panel off the console you can see cavities where vents should go, but no air flow and no grates for it to pass thru

This. Open trailers are so cheap now. just easier loading and unloading a trailer.
