Sheep mentality. People can't think for themselves so they just buy what everyone else has. ;) I'm with you man. The DC has PLENTY of room for people hauling while retaining a bed that is useful.

That's what the ice scraper is for. Soft bristles on one side for gentle reminders and hard plastic on the other to end all shenanigans ;)

I didn't look at the DC at all since I believe it is ALMOST the same as my DC Taco. I rarely use the bed at all so I don't really need it that much. I'm with the stupid but I bought the Tundra just because I need a bigger, badder, worse on gas Toyota truck to drive around. Forgot to mention but my 3 boys LOVE the backseats room.....

I took no offense because I bought mine based on my needs for the fam and friends. But I do admit to being a homer when it comes to upgrades and mods. I mean, why not? Folks here know what works and what doesn't. So we all benefit from everyone's experience.

Pretty much for the same reasons already mentioned. I use my truck to tow more than haul stuff in the bed. Family of 4 more comfortable w/ CM vs DC.

I was looking for either a Platinum or 1794 which are only available in CM. I had 2 previous trucks that were DC and decided I needed the inside room more than the bed room for how I use a truck and have a trailer that I used for long (lumber, large furniture, etc.) or extremely heavy bulk loads anyway (gravel, sand, mulch). Very happy with the Platinum. Best truck I've ever owned (including Chevy LTZ).

most people who drive a D.C only do it for one reason they were being to cheap and didn't want to spend the extra $$$ on a crew max and now they use any excuse to justify why they bought the D.C instead of getting what they really wanted the Crewmax:laser:

The CM can be found with the long bed, but they look like limos.

I use the back of the cab to carry things more than I use the bed. I like having my stuff inside the truck, locked up instead of sitting in the back that can be stolen. Biggest thing I haul is my quad which fits fine in the back of the CM, don't care about the tailgate being down.

It costs almost $10k to extend a CM, But don't come like that from factory. And other than the drop down window, I much more prefer the DC. I definitely don't want to haul my bikes with the tailgate down.

if you really need the extra space just buy a bed extender for about $250

I asked around a bit. Apparently they can be special ordered CM 6.5" from Toyota, but you are correct in that they do not come as a factory option. We just had a DC 8'1" roll through... those things are monstrous.

The real question is how many CM guys would give up 6" of cab for 6" of bed and how many DC guys would give up 6" of bed for 6" of cab?

A small percentage from what I see and hear. The tundra's already a huge truck, guess it's like everybody's saying. Buy what fits your needs and enjoy it.
For CM owners, get a trailer and for DC owners, are bed tie down baby seats illegal? LOL

crewmax wins by a landslide just look at this thread alone shows how many people prefer the crewmax
besides the crewmax just looks a lot better than the DC those back doors are ugly those door handle don't look good and that back window sucks as well Around 70-80% of the Tundra sales are the 5.7 L versions, and 46% are the Crew Max. The standard cab versions are selling at a slower rate than expected.
