The box doesnt change between cab styles. Only difference in racks would 5.5, 6.5, or 8 foot beds. We make racks for the 5.5 and 6.5 beds specifically. You can run a 5.5 or 6.5 rack on an 8 bed though, it would just be too short.

Thanks for the kind words man! I really pride myself on well engineered products that are aesthetic pleasing. I don't design or build anything that I wouldnt use myself, appreciate you noticing and commenting on it haha.

Just out of curiosity, would a 6.5 rack fit on a 5.5 bed because the racks don't appear to be the full length of the bed and I would rather something that goes corner to corner or just short of corner to corner

I have the 5.5’ rack and it’s pretty close to corner to corner. I have maybe 3-4” before it hits the tailgate.

Yes it goes pretty close from corner to corner. The real limiting factor is the accessory tracks as they don't span the entire length of the bed. The long bed rack would be too long as it is another foot longer. Most of the pictures you see from us are just after installing and typically we max the front pads out all the way against the cab for initial install just because it makes it easier to get everything lined up and dialed in for install. Once you get it all bolted together its pretty easy to slide it across the rails and get it more centered in the bed if that's the look you want.

@NE_WARRIOR here is a side shot of the @Datin Metal Fab rack. The rack goes the full length of the Toyota bed accessory channel that it bolts to.

@Datin Metal Fab is the accessory bar going to go all the wat to from front to rear on the rack? I know the blueprint has it that way but was just curious??

Our racks come with 2 accessory bars standard. The render did have 4 which I probably should have realized wasn't the most accurate example. But we try and keep accessory bars powder coated and in stock all the time so if you ever want more its fast to get them.

gotcha! that's what I was curious about. all racks I have seen had 2 but the rendering had 4. didn't know if that was an update or just a rendering lol. good to know we have options!

Yeah I think you could fit 2, maybe 3 on the really tall rack in each spot. Meaning you can have 0-8 bars for sure, maybe 12 if you really really need that much mounting hahaha. We've never had a customer run more than 4 though.

hahaha I think much more than 4 would be overkill for me. just want to mount the hilift and some traction boards at best so I think 4 should do the trick:) Really looking forward to seeing this thing come together!

I dont think tanner has posted them, but I just got my set of awning mounts. These things are BEEF!! Once I decide on the awning I want, these should have no problem holding it up.

No, in order to keep the rack tight to the cover and looking good, you have to sacrifice the ability to fold it up. The sides and back all still will roll up though.

I'm in the market for a bed rack.
I want to use a tonneau cover with the one a choose. I've seen lots of threads with various tonneau covers racks fitted with varying degrees of success. Are you aware of what tonneaus fit with your racks?
It looks like your uprights are set a bit farther to the outside of the bed rail, which I really like and don't understand why other manufacturers shy away from. It appears that your racks would better accommodate a roll up or sliding tonneau cover.
Can you show any pictures of racks fitted with tonneaus or at least provide the measurement of how far your upright sets back from the inside of your bed mount?
    Thanks.

Is there only one support bar going from front to rear in the middle? Anyway to get a rack where there are 2 going from front to back?

It's the exact same on the opposite side. 2 bars on top joining front to middle, 2 bars joining back to middle. Side panels there are two that comes with the rack, but you can buy additional panels.
