For those of you running the Viofo A139 pro or similar, have you had any issues with your camera recording in super fast forward mode? I had a 20 minute drive home and the whole file took about 40 seconds to play. When I slow it down, it gets all crappy. any ideas?

Thank you for this. I plan to do the same thing for my truck. Do you have any additional tips or suggestions before I get started?

Took a few pics on how I set mine up, hopefully it helps.

Pull this down and towards you to get access.
After creating a little harness like I posted earlier, you can plug it into the available plug and tuck it up under the headliner. Towards the mirror is a hole you can push your wires through to plug the dash cam into.
To connect the rear camera, you can guide the wire out from under the headliner up towards the passenger side of the rear view mirror and out towards a premade hole. I then tucked the wire between the headliner and the A, B, and C pillars towards the rear window.
For the rear camera I bought this short length bracket and tucked it under the weatherstripping for the rear window.

Sounds like it's on time lapse mode? Maybe your hot and switched wires are reversed? Not sure how else it'd record that way.

what's the correct name for that 5 pin female connector? I'm gonna install my camera this week and thinking I will build the connector instead of tapping into the wires for a clean installation but I don't know exactly what is the correct form factor of that connector

The actual name for the 5 pin plug? No idea.
I just eyeballed it online and ordered the Subaru harness, didn't want to figure out how to build it.
