Did you add a SIM card and how do you like the dash mount?

 

I did not...I am an apple CarPlay dude so that's really all I use.

Yes get the aftermarket mic from Enfig car stereo and the adapter from Dasaita.I also got a SIM card from T-Mobile.Im going to install all this over the weekend.The mic that comes with the unit isn't very good

 

okay I will have to add those to the cart as well. Where does everyone put the mic in?

Also dumb question but is it worth even getting a sim card for the unit what does that do? and how much is it a month for u?

 

The mic fits in the factory overhead location and you run the wire to the head unit... Good video on the install.The SIM card alows you to use the apps on the head unit and your phone simultaneously from what I've read... T-Mobile is $10 flat a month for a digits only card.You have to buy it from the T-Mobile store.I also use the Android auto

 

I would be using andriod auto as well. But what apps would need the sim card tho? Wouldnt our phones just be fine?

 

I'm going to try it and see if there's any advantage to have it.If not I will cancel it

Got my G13 installed today. I had an older Pioneer installed previously that I brought over from my previous 4th gen T4R. It's been having crashing issues recently so seemed like a good time to upgrade. I got the Dasaita from Amazon and it came with a shotgun style mic and the mic adapter in the box which was convenient. Unfortunately I can't re-use the Pioneer mic I had already run since the TS plug is a different size, thanks Pioneer.

I haven't tested either the built-in mic or the external mic yet. I have to remove the old Pioneer mic and run the new one the Dasaita came with but I didn't have the time to drop the lower dash to fish the wire today.

 

Does the G13 get Sirius and XM radio?

 

Yes by running the SXM app.

 

I’ve not had any luck with the mic that comes with my G13. Too much noise everywhere I would be willing to mount it. I’ve been looking for other options and came across this one today for $9…

At only $9 shipped, I couldn’t pass it up. Hopefully it helps without having to open up the head unit to try and disconnect the internal mic.

 

I ordered one from Enfig and the adapter from Dasaita that I will install soon.Mounts in the OEM location also

Installed the 10.2 head unit today. But only have sound out of front dash speakers. Any thoughts?

 

Just received my HU. Waiting on the dash kit and Fakra C to SMA GPS antenna adapter. So excited to replace this stock HU.

 

I've been going back and forth with replacing my resistive screen Pioneer unit with one of these. My one big question is, how fast does the back up camera come up after boot? Does it take the 30 seconds, or is there a priority to the cam? Sleep mode is probably not on my menu, as my truck can sit for periods. Thank you for any insight.

does this unit (10.2)give you the tire pressure info like which tire is low???
