Dark chrome chips on Platinum

What’s the mileage on your truck? I’m curious whether the repair was covered under the standard 3-year/36,000-mile warranty or your extended warranty.

 

My dealer said they can't tell me if its covered on warranty or not before they replace it and send it in if toyota asks. Seems....not right. Also said if Toyota 'sees a stone chip' they won't cover it. So it is super prone to chipping, but thats fine I guess? Flaking same spot as everyone elses, bottom of mustache.

 

Had my replaced a couple months ago under warranty. I would not be surprised if it happens again.
