    Sorry to hear about your pops and hope for a speedy recovery.

    - (male) friend did the resection after the hospital found a benign intestinal polyp. I believed they cut back almost 6plus inches. Recovered 6 weeks later

    - (female) w diverticulosis, lead to perforations then sepsis of the blood. Declined rapidly.

    My point, the perforated areas need to be managed cautiously and in good time to avoid future complications.
