Thank you for this helpful writeup on how to install the power fold and puddle lamps...I'm doing the exact same thing on mine right now. I've run into a weird one, where both puddle lamps work properly, and the drivers side power fold works as it should with those wires going to the back of the switch, but the passenger side isn't folding at all. I thought it might be an issue with the passenger side wires being T-tapped into the drivers side wires, so I pulled the drivers side wires from the back of the switch harness, and put the passenger side wires into the switch harness but still no fold. So looks like I need to test the passenger side mirror to make sure the power fold motor isn't dead.

My question is about your tester above...I'm assuming you just clamped the black to a ground on the vehicle somewhere, and the red to the positive terminal on your battery, and then plug the black pin into terminal 5 on the back of the mirror, and then used the red pin to touch each of the other pins individually to see what does what?

Awesome, thanks! I ended up figuring out the issue with the passenger side power fold...the two pins needed to be pushed about another 1/8" into the back of the plug and that sorted it out. Thanks again for the writeup...no way I would have taken this project on without reading this first!
