Bingo. @Tundra68 take the truck back to the dealer you bought it from, tell them you snapped ANOTHER CV axle, and ask them exactly what they would blame two broken CV axles on if someone else had installed that exact lift. They would blame the aftermarket lift and wash their hands of the warranty repair. Well, it’s the lift alright; but they should be on the hook because they installed it.

This is also reason #10,000 you should never buy a new truck with a junk lift kit on it from a dealer.

Ha, nothing personal! I just have had it beat into my head to avoid 4wd as much as possible on non-needed terrain to keep things healthy. If you've got a lifetime of doing it with no issues, keep at it I suppose!

Also want to give you some props for taking a fair bit of shit on this thread and staying positive and continuing to engage:cheers:

Yeah about the only time I've used 4wd while towing is washboard dirt roads when climbing switchbacks, which surprisingly smooths things out considerably, but other than that the statement of "I always use 4wd while towing" is just kind of odd. I mean if you want to ruin your turning radius and add just a little more spice to backing up a trailer I guess that's one positive is you're refining your back up skills by kicking it up to 11.

As far as the shit received? Yeah its just a forum and sometimes people just got to get it out and I really don't care.

Wouldn't say I have a lifetime of it ... I have also had several all wheel drive vehicles so to me 4H when I towed something every 6-8 months with my 4Runner just gave me more traction if the road was wet, and the 4Runner was the first vehicle I have had with optional 4wd. This Tundra is my first truck. As for the shit received, I don't care. I don't know any of you and underneath the shit is some knowledge I can gain and have a more educated discussion with the dealer/Toyota.

Good attitude. Now hopefully your dealer fixes your truck, maybe convince them they need to throw in some UCA's to correct those angles and hopefully they will last.
