How old are they? Is that bend on both sides or just the passenger side?

Wtf....there are so many of us with leaf spring issues. Keep us posted on what Lew says. What I don't like is that Alcan only has a 90 day warranty and it starts from order date, not arrival/install date.

Thus far, Lew has only asked for the scaled weight so we will see. They have been good to deal with so far. I really hope they say it isnt an issue as i dont really want to wrestle the springs off again.

I may have missed it so forgive me, did you increase weight since you ordered the leaf springs? I wonder why they flattened out like that.

I ordered springs prior to picking up my campershell but knowing i would be getting it. The camper weighs 350-400#s so i let them know that and what i would be using it for etc.

My alcans have been great. I went +750 for my shell, decked system, and lots of other gear I haul. Also told him I wanted a 1” lift, after two years they’ve been perfect. They recommended new u bolts when I bought mine and measuring for them was a pain, but I have no complaints. There really isn’t a way to compensate for the weight other than a new set of springs made for weight. Toyota makes about the same quality springs as they do stereos.

Well that’s a bummer, Bill was super helpful, spent some time of the phone with him for sure. I can’t imagine it changed the process of making springs though, right?

I wonder why their warranty is only 90 days if their springs are "highly recommended" by others.

Yeah I read a lot before I ordered mine, I mean nobodies perfect and I’m sure they have the occasional issue like with anything custom, but overall I bet they’ll be great.

My stance is right where i wanted it and ride is great. That funny little bend in front of the axle is just odd. Hopefully nothing.

It's all good. I'm just hoping that I don't have my Alcans go flat. I still need to measure for ubolts. They emailed me Friday.

It was to support my rear bumper. I don't haul heavy loads and my TT is 3800 lbs. I use a WDH with it.

All this talk about actual weight got me going back and recalculating my load totals. Glad I did for I initially left some items out when I placed my Alcan order last week. I initially ordered the springs with a additional capacity of 600# at 2” lift. I just spoke with Lew and changed my order to an additional capacity of 800# at 1.5” lift. the Alcan shackles are adjustable from an additional .5 to 1” lift.

I just had a set installed last week. I went with +400 lbs and +1.5". After the install I'm sitting up about 2.25" before they start to settle. I'm only a week and 100ish miles in but so far so good. I go back in a few days to have everything torqued again. And then one more time at 500 miles.

What shackles did you use? Did the shackles give you the extra 3/4” lift?
