Look at what showed up today. UPS driver wanted nothing to do with them. Knocked on the door and said “I’ve got some springs in the back of my truck.” Translation: come get your crap out of my truck, I’m not touching them.,

coming on here complaining about it weekly and not getting under the truck isn't going to solve the issue but I'm sure you know this by now haha. "Its Okay I can be guilty of the same". Like I've said previously, I'm sure its the leaf springs themselves. The thick rubber type coating they put on them is sticky between the leafs. Until it wears out of there its going to make noise. When its warmer out it got worse for me and you could feel the coating was sticky as it rubbed off. When my deavers were new It happened every time i took off from a light or moved my truck for the first time in the morning. Now that I've gotten some miles on them and really cycled the suspension it is almost gone. It may do it every once in a while but it is 95% better than when they were new. I fully expect my alcans to do the same. You could jack the truck up and separate each leaf at its contact point and spray some lube in there but the better option seems to be turn the radio up and go flex that thing out haha.

99.9% of the sounds we bitch about can be solved by turning up the radio :p

I used to be so concerned about the noises my rig made....Now the only noise that really makes me cringe a little is the sound of tree branches freddy crugering their way down the sides of my paint lol. Even then.......after 5 beers I forget all about it.

Well got the Alcan’s installed today.
    • +800 lbs
    • 8 leafs per pack
    • Ordered 1.5” lift in the springs + .5” from shackles = 2” lift
    • Rear height after springs is nearly 3”
Currently sitting with nearly a 3” rake. I may have to raise the front a bit, but before doing so did anyone with Alcans see any settlement? If so, how much did they settle?

Yes. I would say mine settled 3/4” to 1.0” and softened just slightly. Or maybe I just got used to them.

I still have my stock shackles. I haven't messed with it but it could be a torque issue. The pop starts as soon as you take your foot off the brake when in reverse.

Worth looking into. One more thing checked off the list. At the least I'd swap shackles.
