Current Build Wait Times

ordered by Limited TRD offroad 4x4 in March. Still no ETA from my dealer.

 

Kelowna Toyota sold me the same story.........I know its a long way but contact South Pointe Toyota Calgary. I dealt with a guy named Raj Tiwana. This dealership has an uncanny way of getting all the high end trucks. They have Hybrids sitting on the lot.

That is disappointing for sure. Not to upset you more, but I ordered the exact same truck as you in March and it came into my dealership today. Considering the wait times for some people on this forum including yourself I consider myself pretty lucky to get it so fast.

I contacted over 30 dealers in multiple states to get my TRD Pro. Sure I found plenty before mine, but many wanted way over msrp. I would put time into calling and getting your name and what you want with many dealers. It could take weeks, but most likely months to find one in the color you want for a price at msrp.

 

Been waiting since May of 2022. Ordered 1794, 6.5 bed iforce max. I've requested tow mirrors and TRD off-road package. Toyota seems to be shooting themselves in the foot because their "ordering system" sucks. I was told by the dealer that tow mirrors are made of unobtanium. I just asked if I could add the new TRD lift in my order and it was like I asked for a gold plated holy grail. At this rate, I'll just drive my 2006 forever.

 

Did you only spoke with one dealer?
You got to hustle yourself... And contact all of Toyota dealers around your area or out of state to see who may get allocation for the one you want... Or get a local car broker to find it for you, many of them are free for buyer

 

The broker worked for me. He found exactly what I wanted for a great price. Best of all, I was in and out of the dealer in <30 minutes.

 

What color? I bet I could find that but would have to be shipped.

 

Not sure where you are located but there are only two examples of your requested truck configuration (any color) within 3000 miles of my current location (Pittsburgh, PA).

 

Yeah so I'm in salt lake City. I absolutely refuse to pay more for this truck. It's either gonna happen or not. I do not do car payments so I've set a hard budget of $75k. If it happens it happens. Otherwise I'll drive my 06 until it dies and buy a used one in 2 or 3 years. I'm not one to jump through hoops for this. The environment we're in has been dictated by people that are willing to plop $100k for a truck because they want it. I have the means but I'm not going to feed into that.

 

September 6, 2023: Just to to add to the statistics here:
I put my deposit @Canyon Creek in Calgary on Feb 2, 2023.
SR5 TRD CrewMax lunar rock 6.5 ft bed.
Still no ETA.
Update on December 15: got a news from a dealer. Truck ETA end of February 2024.
