OK, so upgrade to the toy rig and the big net gain here is, what specifically? Shorter wheelbase?

Shorter wheelbase, Atlas transfer case, tucked up gas tank, boxed frame, etc. Basically, it’s my second chance to build everything the right way.

I thought I had reached peak jealousy when you ordered bead locks, but I was super wrong, I have NOW reached peak jealousy! If my DCab wasn’t my daily I would be following right along with you. DCSB is really the perfect truck.

Edit: I’ll follow along in spirit

I have a 2020 but I’m excited to see how an atlas does in a 2014 plus truck. Wonder if I can make one work in a 2020

Should be feasible. I've got my Atlas 4 speed TC sitting in storage right now. It has a 3.8:1 gear ratio with a 2.72:1 doubler, which means I'll be crawling in 1st gear at 182:1 :D

Same for me. 10 different sets at least and I've never had an issue.

There used to be a lot of confusion regarding legality of bead locks. Companies have to say "off road use only" so they cover their own asses and not DOT approved doesn't necessarily mean they are illegal to use on road. Lots of car parts are not DOT approved but you'll never see someone getting a ticket for using them on surface streets.

I'm also amazed at how much more expensive TR beadlocks are now. When I bought a set for my old truck they were $400 each

So this kinda worked except I didn’t have a big enough lawn and driveway to go all the way. When I aired it back up I heard the bead pop back out. I need to find a big grassy field.

Don't know if it will work with your bead grip wheels but this was my method to pop the beads off my wheels

FYI you can put a 3/8 square drive in the hook and spin the bottle jack with a drill

Same here. I only have so much patience and the Hi lift/ bumper method quickly drained the patience reservoir.

How much are Rock Warrior wheels worth? These are nearly flawless.

Depends on how long you want to wait... I've seen absolutely beat sets go for sub 300 and basically flawless sets all the way up to 1500 with no rubber. They don't make them anymore so if the right buyer is looking for them you can pretty much name your price. I bought mine for 1000 with 3/4 good tires because the guy just wanted them gone and they are pretty close to flawless aside from the center caps

Just another thought. When you go to sell them might want to consider selling them over on expedition portal or ih8mud. I see a lot of 200 series owners putting them on and those guys tend to have deep pockets and will pay $$$ for a quality set.
