Wheel & tire are 130lbs each. Putting the spare tire inside the cab takes work :militarypress:

Been trying to get the truck ready for San G:

Working on my electrical to utilize the secondary battery.
Built this waterproof 12 relay tray that I tucked underneath the bed, which has a hinge that lets it swing down so that I can access the back (top) side of it. Trying to get all of the electrical done so that I don't have to add anything else to it later on.

I also installed my Redarc 1225D next to the battery, along with a contactor switch (a big ass solenoid to connect the primary and secondary batteries together, in parallel, if I ever need to jump start, use the winch, or use the 2000w inverter), a fused protected section for the rock lights, and bus bars for the solar panel connection into the Redarc.

Repainted the bumper and trimmed the rear fender. Bumper bolted right back up. Plenty of room now.

Just found out that coupon code COLINSMITHSLO for 10% off works on practically anything on polyperformance.com site. Just bought the Total Chaos boxed stock length LCAs and replacement Delta Joints for my ICON UCAs, with free shipping. Shopping to kick my San G blues :anonymous:

What's the benefits from staying with the stock length arms.... unless you're adding the shock hoop and bypass? Call me crazy.... but I thought these cost just as much as buying the long travel lowers?

    I have several reasons:
    1. I want to keep my width to a minimum. I mean we're already fat beezies on the trails so I don't want to get any wider with LT. I don't do any of the fast stuff the LT guys do, I mean I'll do the occasional 50mph runs on desert (no whoop) roads, but I prefer the rock crawling shit that I may need to squeeze into.

    2. I also want it for the smooth articulation. If you've ever removed the LCA you'll know that it's pretty stiff in that it will not swivel on it's own. I was VERY surprised that I could hold up the truck when I had my floor jack underneath the LCA with no wheels and shocks attached, which tells me that it's quite hard to get it to travel. So when I'm crawling I want the wheels to easily travel downwards to make contact with the ground/rocks and with the uniballs it is less likely to bind. I'm thinking (not sure yet) if it will help with up travel in that the suspension will have a little more give so that it travels up without pushing the body/frame up with it.

    3. When I rolled my truck I think the driver side LCA bushing got damaged, could be other things, but that's about the only thing I can think of that was able to give because I've been having trouble keeping my wheels aligned. Sure I could buy replacement bushings or a replace it with a new stock LCA but that's no fun.

    4. I already bought and waited a million years for stock length RCV axles. I'm not ready to go through that again for LT axles.

Been wondering why my truck sagged to the rear driver side. I knew it was related to rolling the truck but couldn’t quite pinpoint it. Replaced the shackles - nope not it. I knew the driver side leaf pack was a bit twisted but still couldn’t see the problem until my friend pointed out that it was actually flatter than the passenger side.

So I used the Poly coupon code again to buy an Icon RXT pack last night, then drove down to SLO this morning, picked them up, and am now driving back to go to work.

Poly just said a "few weeks until they receive more from TC."

Edit: would be nice if I can get it before T2S though.

Hmmmm not sure where I'm going with this yet but I just ordered the Camburg rear shock relocation kit - just the perches. I know I want longer shocks to try and get more flex but have no idea what size I need until I get these on.

True and good point. Just interested to see if I actually need these new perches or if I can get away with just longer shocks on the stock mount.

Yeah maybe mock mount then to get your numbers then order shocks. Then maybe in a year when the shocks come in you can mount them.
