    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Just venting and offering a friendly reminder...

Early yesterday morning, I had the distinct pleasure of officially becoming part of the local crime statistics.
My truck was 'broke' into in the early morning hours yesterday, which granted me a knock on my door by several of my town's finest. Followed by a couple hours of fingerprinting the truck and follow up with a detective.

Don't ask me how, but I mistakenly left the truck unlocked. I (nearly) always do the lookback to affirm the audible locking. I would have bet money that I locked it. I carried in an armful of stuff Monday evening, so I can only assume I inadvertently unlocked it somehow. The shitbirds were apparently going through the neighborhood, checking for unlocked vehicles and taking anything quick and easy. Fortunately, I didn't have anything either of interest or worth their time.
Nonetheless, the experience incited a level of rage that I've not had to contain in a long time.

I've resolved to focus on being grateful there wasn't anything of value stolen or serious damage done, and that by this time next week, I'll be in my new place where my truck fits in the garage!

So remember...Look, listen and then lock!

Unfortunately this happens pretty much everywhere. I sometimes will be laying in bed ready to fall asleep and hit the lock button on the key fob just to make sure. Then I fall asleep like a baby knowing she is safe.

Glad nothing was lost other than patience and inner peace.

People.. do yourselves a favor and read about the "felony lane gang".

Depending on where your break in happens it could be related to those wankers and it will ruin your month and then some.

Dont leave wallets and purses in your vehicle, a check book and your ID is all they want.

Its worth keeping your spare key in your night stand just in case u need to use the panic button and wake the neighbors up.
