I got two SwingCases and they work great. Because I didn't want to deal with cutting through line x, I just had my local line x dealer install the cases. I do miss the tie down hooks. I got mini tie downs installed right behind the wheel well, but they are not as convenient. There are some guys who successfully reinstalled tie downs by rotating them (so the top screw becomes the bottom one).

    Added Driver Side Swing Case
I have installed the drivers side swing case and it is surprisingly easy as described by Mototundra on my 2014 Tundra 1794 edition. I do have a question though, is it possible to reposition the tiedown that had to be removed to complete the install? Even though i have numerous adjustable tiedowns that i have added to the tiedown rail I like the lower factory installed location much better. Any suggestions?

I was considering adding one but haven't had the need for it yet. Here is a DIY @csuviper did that may be helpful.

I want the cases, but I have a drop in liner. One gideo I saw they chopped the liner up and I don't want to do that

Bummer. On a side note, do you like the liner?

I really like those. I'm not very comfortable cutting the foam at the bottom at the truck yet, but the idea is growing on me.

    None, yet....
    To OP, great write up!

I am really considering getting these but I flip flop back and forth. As others have mentioned, I am not sure if I want to cut into the carpet/foam under the rear seat.

Why Toyota decided not to let Back seats to fold down on crewmax Tundras?

Wonder why the swing box didn't utilize the tie down bolts instead of having to drill new holes in bed?

Anyone have behind seat storage for a CrewMax where the seat back folds forward?

It's not fun drilling into the bed of a brand new truck haha...

    I have a 3rd gen so my seats don't fold forward :(

Reviving an old thread but figured I wouldn't be that guy and not use the search function. Anyone know who has these for the best prices, possibly a forum sponsor etc? I just traded in my '16 Tacoma for an '18 Tundra and the one thing I miss is the bed storage the Tacoma came with to store tie-downs, tow straps etc. You know all the crap that's nice to have with you for unforeseen situations. I think this would be the perfect solution without having to give up too much real estate in the bed. I've seen a few different versions out there at various price point and figured I'd check with you guys before pulling the trigger.

I bought mine on Amazon it was a warehouse deals item that had damaged packaging.

I don't know of any site sponsors that sell them. I apologize if there are and I am missing them.

Thanks for your install instructions. I just ordered mine yesterday and needed this post to firm up my ability to do the install once the storage unit comes in.

I love mine. I had it in my 07 DC. Luckily it matched up to fit my 18 cm. I keep ratcheting straps and a few chains in mine. Don't really notice much noise other than the tailgate on mine.

When it was empty, it was noisy. I don't notice it now though.
