hah. just daydreaming and finding some necessary distractions these days.

    thank you good sir

the deavers are good so far. haven't had a chance for a fully loaded run into the nowheres yet but the few dirt trips i have gotten on them have been good. it's a lot of constant weight for them to hold up so, we'll see what happens.

I've started halfway seriously looking at bumpers and yours might be the nicest plate bumper available. I have a couple questions if you don't mind.
Expo1 wants almost as much money for lights as they do for the bumper, so I'm interested in what you you used. What are the rectangular clear lights that you have in the front bumper? Did you have to do a fabrication to get the Squadrons to mount in the round holes or are there built in provisions for mounting?
Those LP9s are calling my name also and I'm trying to ignore them. Are you seriously considering mounting some to the hoop, or was that just a passing dream?

no worries. happy to answer anything anytime.

the rectangular lights are from PIAA and there is a mounting tab available for them. same with the round holes, the mount tab is there. for the squadrons, i had to buy some longer bolts and a pile of washers so they would be centered within the hole. i did the same for the squadrons on the rear bumper.

there are tabs for the 20" bar below the hoop but no tabs on the hoop itself. if i do the LP9s, i'll have to get some tabs welded on. after measuring the space, there's just enough room on the hoop to fit 4 of them on there. the LP9s are somewhere between serious consideration and a daydream. with all the craziness in my personal life right now, i'm seeking out lots of distractions. we'll see what happens.

Was considering 4 - LP9s on an Nfab light bar. Decided to go with XL80s on A-Pillar mounts.
Love the LP9s , they sure do cost a pretty penny :spending:

Well, the bracket fits in there really well. @SoCalDave did a great job with it and now I can’t wait for the dual battery tray to arrive.

Unfortunately, the compressor from the group buy arrived damaged. Hoping the resolution will be painless.

Sunday afternoon project. Getting the SoundSkins on the rear doors.

    CDC65089-1F79-4DD5-87ED-C0303ABF178E.jpg

One tube is enough to cover about half of the inner skin and all of the outer. The difference is noticeable. I’ll probably do the front doors one afternoon this week. Then it’ll be time to tear out the interior and tackle the stereo.

And, to think, I was just complaining to myself about not having any projects for the truck...

    310F96FB-FFBD-4945-9209-1386DEBD09D9.jpg

Replacement compressor arrived last night so, I might throw that in now. Everything is here for the stereo. I just need to go grab some sheet metal screws to mount the crossovers. I’m going to try and block out Sunday to tackle the stereo but I may need to wait another week.
