Did you plasti-dip or rattle can paint the grill surround and bulge?

 

The thought has never crossed my mind. Why do you ask?

Plasti-dip but that grille didn’t stay on there very long.

 

Saw your fender flares and no flaps. I’m thinking of adding flares too but I’m concerned about rocks/ gravel so wanted mud flaps too but would lose them with the flares.

 

ah. i've had the truck in the dirt quite a bit. haven't had any need for flaps.

Stereo and HAM are kind of happening simultaneously. I've got a pile of stuff growing here by my feet. For the rack, I'm debating something from Prinsu or by a local guy I know from Rising Sun. The re-gear is just a matter of saving enough pennies and the dual battery setup is out a ways.

 

Needed a break from retouching all these ballerinas. I've never tried to light a vehicle so this was a good exercise. Gives me some ideas.

Out and about this morning. Went for a hike. Played in the snow. Then she asked me for a picture.

Didn't drive anything. Went for a hike in Eldorado Canyon SP. No one up there. Not a sound except for me and the wind. Had hoped for a train but I didn't stand around and wait long. It was like -10 with the wind in the canyon. I kinda needed to keep moving.

Mounts from Hondo showed up today. Pretty stoked on their stuff. Sitting in line for school pickup, busted out the hex wrenches and mounted it up.









Fitment on the vent ring is right on. Vent flaps no longer move and it doesn’t rotate but that’s fine by me. It’s totally solid. Need a different clip for the back of the CB mic but it’ll fit in there just fine.

Overall, really happy with it. I’ll be ordering another for mounting the iPad mini.

 

Do the components fit nicely between manufacturers? I’ve been looking at the Vent ring but just received the Mob Armor and installed the 3M, without regret.

 

RAM balls on either end. No issues. We'll see how it holds next time in the dirt but I think it's going to be just fine.

Another couple of photography gigs and I’ll be able to pick up the last few remaining pieces (sub box, door adapters and deadener from tech12volts). My goal is to move a little slower at this than @Danimal86 did...

thank you sir. headlights are from recon. i upgraded them to the 55w HID kit from @ToyTec Lifts.
