I bet I know what the first thing he's gonna do after not having use of that hand. #STRANGERDANGER!!:bananadance::pccoffee:

On a side note, @smslavin did you ever decide what you're going to do for ham/cb/smoke signals? I vaguely remember you saying something about it on my page. I finally made some progress on mine - I bought Relentless fab's in-rail antenna mount, and a AZ507RSP https://www.diamondantenna.net/az507rsp1.html. 28" dual band antenna. I really like is the CB style spring dealyo at the base for when I catch it on stuff. I'll likely be putting that spring through a torture test haha.

    ambidextrous...

that spring is a good idea. i like that. still on the fence about a couple of things. now that i've got a rack on the truck, i'm thinking about using this mount for the ham antenna. the rack may cause some interference if i have a nmo mount in the middle of the roof. not sure. i need to go down the street and talk to the guys at HRO.

for the CB antenna, i'd still really like to replace the radio antenna. something like what this guy offers for the FJ60/80. a lot of stuff has to be taken apart to get the radio antenna on the tundra but i'm still digging into it.

Did I already tell you about the Scanstrut passthru for getting cables through the roof? They’re used on boats for penetrating bulkheads and stuff. Could run antenna wires through it or lights or whatever.

Yeah I still have my handful of those bulkheads. They’re just not sexy enough.

I got the scanstrut multi from Sierra Expeditions here in AZ. Will is an amazing dude to work with. It’s worth picking up the phone and calling instead of ordering online, just so you can chat with him.

Love that dude. I was installing our first light bar and while I was in his shop getting the passthru, he asked if I needed anything else. I told him I didn’t know where to find a good 50amp fuse holder and fuse. He walked back into the shop and dug around in his toolbox until he found one and gave it to me. With two fuses.

@KevinK @smslavin is the wiring for the ham a special type or is it just basically rg6 coax?

According to google, its a little bit different, but probably the best option for this application. Its more flexible than 59/6

Sits a little higher than the topper rack but that’s fixable with some spacers.

All done. Left out a few of the crossbars since she needs a bath. Cabrac sits about 1/2” higher than the Toprac. Some spacers will take care of that and I’ll look for some this week. Exactly what I wanted on the truck though.
