For the air, look for a system called 2 Way Air. They're out of business, but you may be able to find a kit on Amazon or something. It's what we used to make our central tire inflation. If you're interested, I can probably give you a part by part list of the core items. We have a schrader valve under each wheel well, and quick connect whips to push onto each tire. Then you cna air up and down all four at once.

@smslavin I thought I saw where you were talking about moving the backup cam but can't find it, maybe it was another rig. Are you moving it? Or does it work with your current setup?

i'm not planning on moving it. must have been someone else. the spare tire blocks about 1/3 of the view but it works fine for me.

Yessir that's the one. Looks like a pretty good write up they have on it also. Here's our write up.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/kom...h-speed-overland-rig.16989/page-5#post-630851

and a video that takes longer to watch than it does to actually fill 4 37s.

    https://youtu.be/IOOpyP76UOY

We use a bottle of nitrogen on our setup, so I left off the pressure relief valve since the tires fill so fast. I had planned to use the bottle regulator to set the pressure and walk away, thinking I'd come back to properly inflated tires, but it fills so fast I just stand there for a minute.

    Sure thing!

I meant to also respond about the NMO antenna mount in the roof. I've done it twice already and now use a mag mount. Even with a shorty antenna it just caught on low hanging branches constantly and that one time I drove into the garage at home before taking it off - the garage took it off for me. Now we have an R2-D2 looking droid on the roof where that mount used to be (I had to cover the hole somehow). So I made a new NMO in the roof, and then bent that one too.

If there's even a remote chance you'll touch that antenna to something, use a mag mount. Everyone I asked had said an NMO on the roof was plenty sturdy, but either I'm a dumbass, or they drive like chickenshits. Probably a bit of both.

this is the ssb-1. 16.5" tall and flexible.

    https://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-001562

the ssb-5 is 38" tall and definitely not flexible.

I wonder how flexible that first one is. It would be cool to see it in person.

We run this Diamond, very similar to the ssb, but you can fold it down at the base. I got tired of stopping, and climbing up the side of the truck to flip it down all the time (and then still hitting branches).

We now run a mag mount on the hood like a damn unicorn. Lisa has threatened to paint it in pink sparkles - I think she should.

In this picture you can also see the smaller antenna on our roof. That's a cell phone signal booster, also on a mini mag mount, also needing to be flipped back up all the time after territorial disputes with low hanging branches.

Oh and the big black thing in the middle of the ham antenna is heat shrink around the open coil the stop branches from snagging it (we did that as a precaution based on research I had done before the initial NMO roof install)

so, on my FJ i had that diamond antenna. it was mounted to the roof rack on a swivel mount. with a little bit of a stretch, ok, a big stretch, i could reach out the drivers window and rotate it down. sometimes i'd forget. nah. most times i'd forget. i broke 3 or 4 of them. one of the other FJ guys i ran around with in SD was smarter. he put his on a switch operated motorized mount. it was a sweet set up.

i'll get you some photos of the comet when i pick it up. probably in the next week or so.

that is a fun whip you have. :headbang:

yes, finally. someone else with saint and 180 rotors on a trail bike.

sb66-c (yes, i still run 26) with saint, king, hayes brakes, race face cranks, xfusion up front, cane creek dbair cs on the back. 1x10 setup, 30 up front with an 11-40 out back using the one up cage and sprocket. considering switching to saint brakes. the hayes have great power but servicing them blows.

DH bike is also a yeti, the 303rdh. wish they were still making them. saint drivetrain and brakes, fox 40 up front, cane creek dbcoil on the back.

i'll be doing lowers service on both bikes this weekend along with truing wheels and putting new rubber on the 303. trestles opens on 6/16 and keystone is already open. :bananadance:

i caress and whisper sweet nothings to them every night.

no issues and i've always been a fan of jason. he treated me well with the fj so getting a few bits for the tundra from him was a no brainer. just so you know, the sliders will ship via freight service on a pallet. they're heavy and really really long.

things around here moving that slow lately? :bored:

definite no on the rtt. i've got a great ground tent and i'd rather have a trailer. one of these days, when the lottery ticket comes through, i'll get the trailer. these have recently caught my eye.

drawers are still solid. zero issues with them. they've been holding up well and i keep a ton of crap in them.

i still need to fix the leaf springs. been a little preoccupied lately so those are on a back burner for right now.

and the roof rack hunt comes to an end. prinsu now has a cab rack for the crewmax with a matching topper rack. pulled the trigger this morning. patience can sometimes pay off.

now, if i could only get that patience to pay off for my life in general we might be getting somewhere...
