    Ok folks,
This is what I have come up with for the problem of not having any storage in the Crewmax. These will be available soon. It adds storage under the rear fold up seat. They will be available with locking latches keyed alike as the latches in the pictures were for mock up. They are only available in black powder coat. The whole thing only adds 20lbs to the weight of the truck. If interested, pm me. They will be available to forum members for $450.00. They will retail for $595.00 online and at dealers. Mods, if this is the wrong place for this let me know.IMG_4863.jpgIMG_4864.jpg IMG_4865.jpg IMG_4866.jpg

That's really awesome man.... If I had a 14, this would be the first thing I bought for it.

Nice job! Might have to pick one up in the future. The lack of under-seat storage on my '14 is a major let down

That is awesome! I am assuming you have to cut into the floor back there? Any details on installation? Might have to trim the weathertechs to fit one of those in there!

Yes, you have to cut into the floor but not that hard. I will have detailed instructions and a paper template. Even doing it by measuring it only took about 45 minutes to install. It does require removing the rear seat bolts and lifting the seats out so it really should be a 2 person install. I dont think it will interfere with the weathertech mats at all.

The weathertechs have good coverage as the cover the hump back past t he seat bolts, but I would much rather have storage back there. Any increase in road noise after cutting that floor out? Could always throw some ram mat in there or something I suppose. Toyota should not even have put that hump in there if it hollow underneath!

IMG_4877.jpg IMG_4876.jpg IMG_4875.jpg No added noise. In fact, if you didn't know it was there, you wouldn't know it was there. Here are some new pictures with the lock option. I think I am going to make them this way only. Looks a lot better too.

This setup looks great! What are the chances of a model for the DC. That's one of my few gripes about my tundra.

Yes, I will be doing one for Double cab. I am finalizing everything on Crewmax first, then I will start on DC. I am hoping to have something ready by February or March. I am going to start manufacturing the Crewmax this week and hopefully have them ready to ship by end of December or early January. Thanks everyone for the great replies and compliments. I am very particular with my stuff so I was really happy with the way this turned out.

I love this idea. Can you do inside hinges instead of outside?

I checked on the inside hinges, and I did not care for how it would look. The hinges I am using are adjustable torque hold open hinges. A piano hinge would let the door just fall.

What's the HxWxD for the storage areas? Also, does it attach to the seat rails or the floor in any way?

Roughly 10"x 12" x 3 5/8" and yes it attaches to the seat rails using the existing seat bolts

The original design looks great. Adding the option of one regular sized compartment and one longer one for a short carbine/AR pistol would be cool too.

Unfortunately the design of the floor prevents me from making it with one long compartment. I would really love it if we could make it that way.

    Love the idea!
I would like to maximize the storage under there, it looks like there is some more room to be had along that slope. What about between the seat rails-back to the rear bulkhead?
Do you happen to have some pictures of the foam after removal?

    EDIT:
    http://www.tundratalk.net/forums/tundra-audio-visual-discussion/241202-crew-max-amp-install.html
Looks like the 2 drivers side spots could be significantly larger if they were extended towards the rear firewall. The passenger side would be limited by the jack.
Of course I understand this would be a little more involved to produce but I'd gladly pay a little more for the extra space (looks like it could be around 75-100% more volume)

The only problem with that is that you wouldn't be able to put a lid on it as you wouldn't be able to open the lid all the way. Believe me, we looked into all of that. I wanted one long compartment, which could be done, but you would have to modify the seat mount risers. That's not a liability I want to take.

I'm very excited to update everyone that I got my rear seat storage setup today. The short feedback is that this is 100% as advertised.

The directions and youtube video include everything you need to complete the install. I bought a $5 linoleum knife as suggested and I'm glad I did. It made quick work of the foam sub floor. I do recommend a 2nd pair of hands in the final step but it isn't necessary in my opinion.

So, no rattles, no increased cab noise, even at highway speeds. Gotta tell you all that I'm so impressed with the design and fabrication. All hinges and locks work great. The lids close tight no rattles. The powder coating is quality. I also recently installed two 12"s - no rattles.

I'm including some photos. I just came from an 2003 Access Cab. All of the items you see in 2 of the 3 bins were loaded in my access cab, I have a bin to spare!

I showed this to some friends and family and they were wowed. Brother in law who's seen the truck before, didn't realize at first that it wasn't factory.

My suggestion, get em while you can. I would have kept my 03 for another 10 years if my wife and I weren't expecting. I plan to have this truck for many years and this rear storage is awesome. Hope you all can get one.

Also, the transaction was easy. Requested payment Saturday, paid through paypal Saturday night and it was at my house Tuesday. I'm so glad Earl shared this with the community and I hope he sells one of these to all Crewmax owners.

And I just ordered WeatherTech's.... Full back seat! Ughh! Awesome setup and easy peasy instructional video provided. I wonder how it would sit if cut outs were done to mat? Anyone try this?
