Ok so does the rear seat fold down somehow? I feel like its a bad design trying to get to the lug wrench, jack etc behind there.

I believe they changed the design so it doesn't fold down.

Nope does not, but didn't some one do a mod that makes it come down? Or was that for a DC? I saw it on here when I first joined

The reason it won’t work on a crew Max is when you lift up the seat bottom in a DC the back of the seat slides up, so all we have to do is trim the little hook shorter so it will release. The crew Max seat does not slide up when the bottom is moved. I’d have to show you for it to make complete sense.

Would have been nice to make the rear seat slide up, there's almost too much room in the back. I know, what do I know i've only had the truck for 3 days...:)

Toyota should have made the back seat in the CM either fold forward or the whole seat slide forward. There is usable space behind the seat only if it was easily accessible. I would email Toyota on this one except they completely misunderstood the email I sent on the fact that the gauges get extremely hard to read on cloudy days or with sunglasses on. In their reply they instructed me how to adjust the illumination. I don't think they read the whole email.

They could make them fold and tumble forward. That would be perfect

I watched a video where some Toyota engineer said consumer feedback was that they wanted more floor space in the back vs. space behind the seat, so they made the bottom fold up.

I would rather have the floor space as is. I sometimes put a bike in there along with all my gear in inclement weather or shitty areas.

Did you try to put the factory sound deadening back after you matted the back panel? I didn't try and now wonder if it'd fit. Mine was tight without it but might try to jam it in there.

I cut the factory removable material to the height of a previous box, new box is a little shorter, so you can see the dynamat just above the sub box

What box did you have before? Why the change? Sorry for all the questions. Looking to install a box as well and can't make up my mind as to which one to purchase? (JL Audio, Tech12Volts, *********, etc)

Box and subs came from James from Tech12volts. He builds the boxes to the subs you order.
