That's a pretty light hit guys. Doubtful on frame damage, maybe an end bracket. About $3500 parts, prob be out the door around 7500 with paint and labor.

I don't know, man. I had a pristine '13 Limited 4x4 that was worth about $30k when I got sandwiched earlier this year. Minor damage to the rear, smooshed the front a little more than yours, and no airbags deployed. They totalled it.

Nope. Younger brother was a claims adjuster for Farmer's for years and shared some first hand insight with me. Mainly general info. Not hard to determine parts cost that you can see that is damaged. Hidden damage....can't guesstimate that. I'm simply guessing here like everyone else. The body shop pro's like yourself have a good handle on parts cost, labor hours, and dealing with insurance companies.

I just called to see where the body shop was at with the estimate. They said that they are "still working on estimate, have a few parts to verify price for, and add a few more parts to estimate before having total". Before those other parts, it is sitting at $9,954. They were in the middle of working on the estimate so i didn't want to ask a ton of questions. Not sure what those other parts are and if they are small costs or bigger costs. Should know by end of the day :-/

Love to see an itemized estimate sometime. Have you looked up the value of your truck, you need to know. I am also curious, who is your insurance with?

A quick look at KBB says retail is roughly $12K...if that is the number they are using to calculate 75%, then I suspect anything north of $9K will most likely mean it is totaled.

If they do total it, buy it back and sell it to someone like me to rebuild.

Well, the final estimate is in. $10,816. Attaching the detailed estimate. Screen Shot 2018-12-13 at 5.43.37 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2018-12-13 at 5.43.55 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2018-12-13 at 5.44.13 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2018-12-13 at 5.44.32 PM.jpg

I also spoke to my insurance company and asked them what percentage they total at. They total at 80%.

No decision yet. They just sent the quote to me an hour ago, at the same time they sent it to my insurance. That is just their estimate for repairs if they don't total it.
