These MPG threads drive me nuts. Do your research before purchasing. I have a DD for a reason.

Want good mileage? Go on a long trip with P-rated tires. Working for me right now, getting great mileage. Will post numbers at the conclusion of the trip after calculations.

How did I miss this thread? I assumed it was another MPG thread to go with the other 1400.

Just picked up a 2018 this past week. I did a ton of research on it beforehand and knew the mpg situation. After one tank, I got 15.5 mixed driving but mostly back country roads as I'm in OK. I can live with that. In fact, I had already conditioned myself for 13-14 :D. My Sierra lifetime average was 18... I'll take the mpg hit for the superior truck. :burnrubber:

Next question: What's the largest tire I can fit on my stock Tundra without rubbing?!

Yep. Lift and bigger tires results in more uplift. Less road weight and better mpg. I would think that mouth open or closed is dependent on your head position. Tilt it up so your tires aren't contacting the road.

36" tires, absolutely no mods needed. Solved!

Why can I only get 29 gallons in my 38 gallon tank? Do you guys used compressed gasoline?

I would just make your own 4-5" exhaust.

To finish it off, do this:
